I first thought of applying to kfupm as it does not look for ecs and hs marks. But this year competition was very high and im an indian so my chances are really slim.

What are some other unis that i can apply to with the sat and get a scholarship. I wanna do engineering (civil). My high school marks arent bad it’s just that i dont have maths in my main diploma.

Any help will be most aprreciated!

I want to study medicine, so I know KSU is probably the more obvious choice, but almost all my friends are planning to go to KFUPM which makes me hesitate a lot about going alone to KSU

I’m also thinking about the future in general, not just university life. I’m interested in Aramco too, so I wanted to ask which university would give better opportunities overall

Also, are there early admissions or specific exams/interviews I should know about from now? I just would like to know everything, please (a first year high schooler 😿)

Gng im so confused bw cse (computer science engineering) and ece (electronics and communication systems)...

What should I do? I looked into ece and found it good but I dont wanna regret my choice.

Cse on the other hand coding and all I find kinda boring but tbh i grew up playing games on laptop learning excell sheets and all.

I heard ECE students can also go in software side later if they don't like it.

That's why im considering ECE.

What’s easier being accepted from school to kfupm or another university to kfupm?

السلام عليكم، انا طالبة طب اول سنه، انقبلت في المبكر تخصص date science and engineering والتخصص اللي ابغاه industrial engineering اخاف اروح للجامعه وما اقدر احول ويصير خسرت الطب و التخصص اللي ابغاه برضوا متخوفه اروح بسبب ان الطب التوظيف فيه مضمون غير الهندسة and being unemployed is my biggest fear فا بسأل ايش الاسباب اللي خلتكم تختارون الهندسة على الطب مع ان موزوناتكم تدخلكم طب بالراحه (اعرف عن الرغبات ورغبتي ابد مو طب واكرهه مره but i cant help it but to think about whats going to secure me a job)

I’m a Moroccan student currently in my final year, and soon I will graduate with a diploma in home automation and electricity. My background is mainly related to:

Electrical systems, home/building automation, smart buildings, and energy management interests

Recently, I became very interested in the Smart and Sustainable Cities field at KFUPM because it matches a lot of my interests in smart infrastructure, sustainability, automation, and future technologies.

However, I’m honestly worried about one thing: my high school grades were not very high. My current technical studies and practical skills are much better than my old academic results, but I don’t know how much KFUPM focuses on high school performance versus technical background and motivation.

So I wanted to ask people who know the university or have experience with admissions:

• Do I realistically have a chance of being accepted?
• Does KFUPM value technical profiles and practical experience?
• Is it worth applying, or would it just be a waste of time and money?
• What can I improve to increase my chances?

I would really appreciate honest advice and experiences from students or graduates.

Any updates about the program

I’m currently a high school junior going onto my senior year, i recently won a fully funded scholarship to KFUPM and i genuinely never heard of this uni before winning the scholarship 😭 so i didn’t apply to it or anything like that. I’m super grateful for this opportunity because Ik a lot of people dream of getting in let alone get a full ride but i was wondering how good it is for a mech eng student? And is it more academic and preps for grad school or more of a career prep kinda uni (hope u get what i mean) also i heard that girls and boys lectures are separate is that true? Also how is student life there outside of class? (As in clubs, societies, etc..) how is dorm lifestyle? And how’s the area like? Is it urban? Is it like a big city with cafes and malls and everything? Also is it a walkable place or would u need car/ uber to get around? Also I read on the website that for mech eng there’s an internship option and there’s a summer program option, what’s the difference and which is better? Also how’s the cost of living there like? Sorry for the long post but I’d really appreciate the answerssssss

Edit: just for clarification, the scholarship was awarded to me as a prize at a scientific competition, so they didn’t get my stats nor did I go through the application process

هل الجامعة مشددين على تفريق الاولاد والبنات؟

I am interested to apply to KFUPM in 2027 using the SAT track, but I have a few doubts. If they could be answered I would really appreciate it. 

1. What is the average SAT grade that a student can get into KFUPM in a CS Bachelor's program?

2. Are there any specific extracurriculars required by the university?

3. What are the chances of a student getting a full scholarship?

4. For non-saudi residents of Saudi Arabia, how likely is the student to get accepted?

I was awarded a scholarship through ISEF to join KFUPM back in 2024. Last year they went through the application and asked me to come to the university in August but I was still in my final year of high school so I requested a deferral. Only in January this year did they respond saying they've deferred me for August 2026. Issue is I've heard no updates since then... I've followed up about a month ago asking about my application and when I'll get my visa letter but still no response. Since August is coming closer I'm getting worried and would like advice.

So, these are some questions i have about kfupm sat track, and i would really appreciate it if anyone could answer anything...

Self-intro=i am a female Indian resident in dammam currently studying in 12th grade of a private school, i wish to enroll myself in the KFUPM SAT TRACK for 2027 quota

1. i am planning to take the SATs in August or October with confidence to score 1520+, does having good sat score makes you competitive for the spot?

2. does me being a resident increases or decreases my chances of placement and scholarship

3)Atleast 75-100% is VERY MUCH NEEDED due to my family's financial situation, does providing salary letter&bank statements of my family situation (84000SAR for a family of 5 with nearly 20% being spent on siblings education) increases my chances of getting the tuition waiver???

4. if i got 1520 in SAT and full marks in the University Maths test is the scholarship 100% guaranteed or is there a chance it may get rejected?

5)does me applying for the Business school - preferably MIS or any business major is fine.. Increase my chances?

6)will having connections in the police forces be able to put me in a advantageous situation as compared to others?

7. What all should my STATEMENT OF PURPOSE include of?

8. is it enough to submit my application & documents online or should I also go to the administration office physically? Does frequent visits play a part in selection???

9. are the fee for additional concentrations included in the scholarship??

10. when do they announce the results of who got in & recieved the waiver ???

11)and if after everything i got in, can i automatically skip the prep year or is there anything else???

(my situation applies to all the questions 🫠)

I'm a resident in Saudi I've gotten some good scores in gat and my GPA is quite high I haven't taken tahsili yet but it doesn't seem to be that hard, I keep hearing from my classmates that'd you'd need a 99% weighted grade to get into something like software engineering or AI and Cybersecurity which seems just a bit exaggerated to me if I do well on my tahsili exam I'd probably get something ranging from 95-97 weighted would that be a comfortable range to get in?

I know there's no exact safe zone but I was just curious to know if kfupm was actually as competitive as I've heard and what my chances of getting in are thanks in advance to anyone who bothers to awnser my questions :)
