I currently own/drive a 2013 Innova, 2022 Innova Crysta, 2017 Honda City, and 2025 Venue N Line in the family. I’m now looking to replace my 2017 Honda City, which is my daily driver.
The main reason for upgrading is lumbar pain. I wanted a more comfortable SUV driving position with easier ingress/egress and better back support.

I ruled out most EVs because the battery packaging + flat floor seemed to compromise under-thigh support, which I personally found uncomfortable.

The Hycross Hybrid is unfortunately out of budget. Pure petrol SUVs in this price bracket felt either inefficient or lacking features for the money.

After a lot of filtering, I narrowed it down to Kia Seltos and Mahindra XUV 7XO (AX7T).

Today I did a ~15 km test drive of the 7XO. Positives first:
Loved the driving feel and engine performance
Seating posture felt upright and lumbar support was genuinely good
Seat position overall felt comfortable

But I noticed something that is seriously bothering me.

Even on a smooth highway, I felt a constant side-to-side rocking/sway of my body, especially my neck. It wasn’t harsh suspension or vertical bouncing — more like a subtle lateral rocking motion that I became hyper-aware of during the drive.

What’s confusing me is that on the same roads in my dad’s Innova Crysta, I never experience this feeling. The Crysta feels planted and stable to me.

I had specifically considered the 7XO because of all the hype around the “DaVinci suspension/dampers”, expecting a magic-carpet ride plus the stronger engine over the Seltos.

But honestly, during my test drive, it didn’t feel particularly special.

My concern is: Could this kind of body movement become a neck issue on longer drives, especially if someone already has lumbar/back issues? Or is this something you just adapt to after ownership?

Would especially appreciate feedback from long-term XUV 7XO/700 owners, particularly anyone with back pain, cervical issues, or who switched from Innova/sedans. Is this side-to-side rocking normal? Did it improve with tyre pressure/seat adjustments, or is it just the way the suspension tuning is?

Planning to test drive the Seltos tomorrow for comparison.

I know both the cars belongs to different segments but considering the price what I am getting, I need your genuine advise.

Hyundai Venue hx5 plus Petrol Manual -- 11.8 Lakhs on Road in Pune
Kia Seltos HTE Petrol Manual -- 13.1 Lakhs on Road in Pune.

The 2nd confusion which I am having in case I opt for Kia Seltos is whether I should go for HTK (O) which is having sunroof, connected taillight, autofold ORVM, Front PS and few other cosmetic features and it will cost me around 17 Lakhs on Road.

I recently booked GTX(A) DCT Petrol in Bengaluru. They quoted extended warranty for 4th and 5th year at Rs 23,877. Is it worth it?

Hey everyone, I recently booked a petrol DCT model, but I've been seeing some news about an E30 issue. I'm a bit concerned now that I've placed my order. Has anyone else booked a similar model and heard about this? I'm wondering if this is something I should be really worried about. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

as I have finalised 2 cars:
Kia new seltos
Hyryder hybrid

Chosen Kia seltos due to its feature and more boot space

Should I wait for seltos hybrid ?

Drive would be mostly within city (Mumbai) and occasional driving on highways

Have had it since 2020. A while ago I noticed a rattling noise at low speeds and acceleration, then the car stalled at very low speeds and turning left. I had an oil change scheduled anyway so took it in and after the oil change the rattling was gone and no more issues.

Then the exact same thing happened a while later, took it in for an oil change and again fixed the rattling and no stalling.

Well now it just started doing it again.

What could possible cause this!?

After the first time I thought maybe it was a battery connection issue and the tech maybe tightened it while checking the battery for the inspection but after the second time started that was what I checked first thing.

Not sure why I'm struggling to figure this out, but do any trims of the 26 Seltos in the US come with Surround view or a 360 camera? Google ai says yes on the sx but I don't see it anywhere else.

Also, I’m open to other car suggestions in this budget.

If there is any better car around ₹18–22 lakh on-road that suits my requirements better than Seltos/Taigun(2026) editions, please suggest it.

My priority order is:

1. Good ride quality for city roads and bad patches
2. Good engine and enjoyable driving experience

Safety

4. Long roadtrip confidence

5. Useful features like ADAS, 360 camera, ventilated seats, good infotainment, etc.

6. Reasonable real-world mileage

I don’t want to buy purely based on hype or spec-sheet. I want a car that feels good to live with daily and can also handle occasional long trips comfortably.

Please suggest any other options I should seriously test drive before finalizing.

I have booked the kia seltos turbo petrol dct, because I liked the test drive on this when compared to diesel and na petrol automatics.

But I have been seeing some info online , about the dct clutch heating in bumper to bumper traffic and eventually causing clutch wear and tear, or other gearbox issues.I live in hyderabad and I will encounter traffic.So, I was thinking I will change the booking to the diesel TC and manage the dpf (manual dpf regen or will go on highway once/twice a month for 20km of highspeed runs).At this point I do not know how much city or highway drive will be there for me(first own car, but have plenty of driving experience).

Kia Showroom guys say that there is no such issue they have ever encountered in a dct car.

People who had owned a dct gearbox please do comment and let me know if the problem is real and what can be done.

Also the showroom guys keep advertising accessories, can anyone tell which accessories are required and what are not necessary.

So we got a new seltos, but I noticed there are 2 very different looking versions. One is more box front, other is very swoopy. What's the difference?
