So I bought a used 2014 kia forte lx and mostly everything is good except one of the back windows do not roll down and all 3 of the rear seatbelts won’t come out, I tried everything and wasn’t able to get them out at all so we decided to take them out and by replacements I was able to buy the rear left seatbelt from kiapartsnow.com but they sadly do not have the center nor rear right side seatbelts any idea where I could get some from?

I just bought a 2020 Forte EX 145,000 km $ 11,000 CDN I did some research on it.

Mint condition . Was looking for a transportation car. I am retired

Hello, I was wondering if you guys know how to fix my car. Whenever my ac is off, the engine shakes and when I turn on the ac, it goes away. Any answer would be helpful!

I have 111k miles on it and it’s been great yesterday morning when I came to a stop at a light the car did a shimmer and cut off but I was able to fire it back up and had no more issues. Has anyone experienced this?

My mom has a 2017 Kia Forte with only 54k miles on it. She took it today for an AC diagnostic because it blows hot air (since last summer.) A garage in Plainfield, IN quoted her for a failed ac compressor ($1260).
They said the Freon was 75% full, did a dye test. (Not sure if they checked the relay switch, if there’s a bad clutch, etc)
My question/s: what’s usually included in a $20 diagnostic test? Would you have confidence in the accuracy of the test? Could it just need a new relay switch? Is that an acceptable quote to have a compressor repaired?
Anyone else experience AC failure in their Kia? What did you do and what were the outcomes? (Fixed by a mechanic, 2nd 3rd opinions, process of elimination method, said forget it and live without AC?)
I ask because I tend to be a little cynical, especially bc car lots & garages alike, have been less than honest in the past. Could it be as simple as a relay switch but they are “upselling/up charging” to make an extra buck (because she isn’t familiar auto repairs?)
What was supposed to be a $19.99 diagnostic, turned into $180 by the time she left today. No new parts were installed, only dye flushed through.

I have been wondering recently if putting an ecu race chip, custom exhaust, and cold air intake would get my kia forte lxs up to 160 hp. My idea is to fully pimp out my car once I cross the 100k mile threshold due to engine warranty expiring. Anybody try this?

No matter what I do, I can NOT update this car.

According to Gemini, this model needs a display audio update, not a navigation update. I can confirm this by saying that the car has no built in navigation to my knowledge. But, every source for the display audio update doesn't have my model listed as compatible. The official website for updates doesn't allow any update other than navigation for this car. I am so confused and I have no idea why nothing is working.

When I try and use the navigation files to update, it says it can't recognize any supported files. I tried having the files in a folder marked NaU or whatever it is, didn't work. I tried having the files all directly in the USB, didn't work. I manually formatted the USB to an exfat format, didn't work. I have searched using my vin number and model name and still, no update works. I have tried downloading the update three separate times in case it just didn't download correctly. Nope, that wasn't the problem either. What the hell is the problem? Nothing is working.

2015 kia forte with 310k kms, when its been sitting for over 3-4 hours, when you start it, it shuts off, it tries to start, rpms go up, but then dies, i then need to give it some gas for it to fully start, it started a long time ago, i changed battery and starter and its been happening again for a while now, but nothing else the car is perfect i love this thing any help is appreciated tho

Hey everyone, have a 2019 lxs with 98k on it, AC clutch not engaging when I turn it on.
Fuses are good, checked all of them under the dash and in engine bay. Tried to test vacuum but don't have the right connectors. Anything else CHEAP or easy to try before I dive into this too deep?

To start off I have a 21 Kia Forte LXS with the 8SPD IVT. My engine is the 2.0 MPI Nu I4.

I love this car. Probably a little too much to the point where I’ll floor it. But I think that’s possibly why it has gotten to what it has. I’ll be driving in sport mode, going first to second, but the second I go 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th (seemingly where Torque Converter would lock in) the car shutters and struggles, almost like it’s in the middle of an earthquake. It vanishes like nothing even happened on a cold morning. And it’ll pop up in the middle of nowhere while I’m just getting down the street to my house. Please give me real advice, this is not a motor mount issue, that much is obvious. I just had 2 replaced, one with a dry rotted bushing and the other with a crack in it probably from me hitting the potholes in Mississippi. When I had a motor mount issues the car made noises. This problem I’m having makes literally none besides maybe the rpm fluctuating from the out of balance shaking. Thanks!

Curious, not a car guy here... have to replace the master window switch on a 2010 Kia Forte. Is it easy enough to just pop the old one out, disconnect the harness and pop in the new one... without taking off the door panel? I saw a few youtube videos where they do just that, but seemed almost too easy! Thanks in advance!

Ever since the end of May, the touch screen of my ‘19 Forte has been really dim, day and night. It’s been so dim during the day, I can hardly use the backup camera, GPS, or other CarPlay apps. I’ve tried changing the display settings, but it didn’t change anything. When I turn the display of the screen off and back on, it’s bright for one second, then goes back to dim. I don’t know if it’s the heat that’s messed with the wiring or cameras (I live in NC and it’s been in the mid 90s the past couple of weeks) or just gradual wear, but this hasn’t been a problem in the 2 years since I’ve had my car. What am I not doing and what should I do to fix this?
