At great adventure, they keep a lot of things open in the rain. All the haunted attractions usually stay open. Will KD keep the haunts open tomorrow night? The day will be good enough to ride Pantherian and TT...

My kid really likes Haunt, but he's 11yo and sensitive. Last year, he wore a No-Boo necklace through all of the scare zones. He also wanted to wear it into the mazes, and after waiting through the line for F.E.A.R., we were informed that it isn't allowed. He took it off and walked through the maze with me, and it was right at his threshold of intensity, even having zero jump-scares. He says he enjoyed it now, but the way I remember it, he barely made it through.

Being a year older, he's eager to try more of the mazes this visit - maybe all of them? He asked how scary or intense they are, and if we could do them in order from least to most, so that he can change his mind if it's too much. I checked the Six Flags app hoping that it has some indication, but no dice.

How busy do folks think the park will be on Halloween day? Do you think most people will be busy with trick or treating and parties, or is it popular to go to Haunt on Halloween night?

It looks to be pretty rainy this weekend in the park. Do they typically run most rides in the rain, assuming lightning stays away?

I just purchased a gold membership, which is posted at $8/month for 12months+. There was (of course) a $9.99 processing fee added, on top of the initiation fee for membership. Seeing as Six Flags is so processing-fee happy, I’m now wondering: will my monthly membership rate actually be $17.99 ($8 + $9.99 processing fee) a month? If so, that’s some BS. And, if so, is there a way to pay for the year upfront at guest services to avoid those additional fees for the next 11months of my membership? Thanks, community!

I've been trying to plan a weekend KD trip with my two kids for weeks, but the rain has ruined all of our plans. We finally have a lock on a visit this Saturday and I'm excited!

So, the Haunt lanterns. We got one last year and my kids enjoyed it but were anxious about missing any activation points, and [I wrote up this guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/KingsDominion/comments/1ognbp9/kings\_dominion\_haunt\_magic\_lantern\_activation/) for any other people with FOMO.

So here we are at Haunt season again and... this year's lantern looks exactly like last year's lantern... is it the same? Never mind the fact that they're overly pricey plastic gimmicks - we just don't need two of them. Anybody know? Thanks!

I’ve attended Halloween haunt for the past 7 years, and honestly is not bad, but it’s been free with my season pass. I typically go on slower days or buy the express pass. Last year I didn’t feel like it was great, and they charged me to get into the mazes. This year it seems like they are charging for mazes as well, but I’m wondering if it’s worth the price. What are ya’ll experiences?

I've seen a couple posts online alluding to a new digital way to check in to the mazes this year. Would someone mind explaining how exactly that works? I've got my group express passes this weekend and I'm not sure if I'll need to be on my phone booking the mazes for us.

I'm going with some friends Sunday and we want to see the Diablo house and the new shows. Do the indoor shows run during the day before haunt starts as well or only after? I know Sunday close time is 10 so I'm worried we may not fit everything in.

So I just did the haunt last night and, wow, my socks are officially knocked off! Those scare actors definitely know that they're doing! Even the actors in the scare zones for me, I'm usually not got! I usually just walk through the mazes and look at the props and can typically spot an actor a mile away. I was actually scared, quite a few times! Even on a second round of Diablo, they still got me! And man, that thing was nuts! Blood on the bayou was insanely cool too. I've never been to a super high level Halloween event, like say Halloween horror nights at Universal, just my local ones and BGW Halloscream, but man was I impressed. Really high quality and worth the extra $10. When you break it down, it's only like an extra $1.20 per maze. I don't mind paying extra as long as i it's worth the money, this definitely is. The props were really cool and mazes emersive, guess I just got used to how lame HOS has gotten. Plus all the coasters stay open! I know I'm always disappointed at BGW because I'm always looking for a night ride on Pantheon, but it's always closed for HOS, for some reason. Same with Alpengeist. I understand it's that area is being used for the event, but it isn't, so why? Coaster night rides were just the cherry on top for me. If you have to choose between KD or BGW, pick KD for sure! Plus if your a gold member, don't forget your free caramel apple funnel cake!

Hey all! This is the first time I’ll be doing the haunt at KD, I’m just curious what yall think, is it better to try to hit the rides first or to do the mazes? I’m just curious how lines are, like do people just rush to the mazes or do they try to get their rides in first? Thanks!

Haven't been to a KD haunt in many years, so I have a few questions.

I'd like to get some night rides on some of my favorite coasters, which ones say open during the Haunt?

I know there's an extra charge for the mazes, does this apply to gold season passes as well?

Any neat shows?

Since I've heard BGW is kinda lame, I'm not going, but I'm super excited about KD!

I'm bummed. My son recently went to KD with friends and came home with a t-shirt 2 sizes too small (he didn't know his clothing size...and didn't think to look at the back of his t-shirt...'it looked like it would fit'). Not only are we out the $$, I can't buy a replacement t-shirt on the KD online store. I wish they offered more merchandise in the online store. On the positive side, my son gave the t-shirt to one of his friends who was at the park with him.
