2510HST making oil/runaway

Well she’s making oil again. Last year my tractor diesel ran away on me. When it went to the dealer they accused me of overfilling my oil. It was with them last maintenance for the big 100h fluid changes. They ended up changing the high pressure hydro pump that wasn’t under warranty and claiming nothing was wrong with the motor. Now a year later my oil is an inch above the full check and stinks of diesel. I’m pretty sure my 5 year drive train warranty is about to expire any day now. Pretty sure my tractor is a lemon that in going to be stuck with.

2026 3520SE Opinion Request

About to pull the trigger on a 2026 3520SE. I am debt free outside of my mortgage and have been so for almost all of my life. Debt is something I have avoided like the plague. Driving beaters, being diligent with my credit card, budgeting very intentionally. I would hate to take on debt for something that is going to be a huge financial liability (outside of expected preventative maintenance).

Just looking to see if any of you have a warning or things to consider that I may not be. I understand engines and how to work on things, but I know myself and will feel uncomfortable working on a diesel so the warranty is key, I dont want to buy used as I would still need to finance at least part of a tractor unless I go very old.

Brush hog, stump grinder, loader work is the purpose. I have never used a tractor other than mowing lawns with a small John Deere as a kid. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
