What can senders see when they pay you?

I do not want my senders to know anything more about me than my username.

When they pay through stripe or PayPal, do they see more than my username? Personal details like legal name, phone number, address, etc?

New to Ko-Fi and commissions.

So I wanna do commissions for custom made plushies.

But I’m completely new to this, such as shipping costs and such.

Same for Terms of Services, what should I put there exactly?

Also, how much should I charge? The plushies I plan to make are gonna be similar to Fumo and Chocopuni, which are Chibi Sitting Plushies.

I’ve never ordered commissions before so idk how much it usually costs.

Here’s two examples of those types of plushies

Is it okay to ask for donations to continue your education?

I’m in my fifth and final year, and I’m trying to figure out how to afford finishing it. My family is going through a difficult financial situation and genuinely can’t help me.

Right now I’m working a 9-to-5 job, trying to write my academic papers, and also creating digital products to sell because asking people for money feels incredibly uncomfortable to me. My pride keeps telling me I should somehow earn everything myself.

But then impostor syndrome kicks in and tells me my digital products aren’t good enough for anyone to actually pay for. At the same time, I’m mentally exhausted from trying to juggle work, research, money problems, and family responsibilities all at once.

So I’m starting to wonder whether refusing to ask for help is actually helping me at all.

Would you consider crowdfunding/donations in this situation, or would you keep trying to earn the money another way? What would you do?

My Paypal account got temporarily limited and needs to be reviewed. Is there a way to resolve this?

I'm a digital artist who just reopened commissions a few weeks ago and recently got my account temporarily limited by Paypal after receiving payments from my clients via Ko-fi. I am currently using a personal account for all my commissions and I've had this account for years with no issue.

PayPal is currently asking certain documents to provide more information about the transactions and my business/services. Unfortunately, there were no invoices that were issued for my recent commissions as the payment was primarily done through a donation / tip (which was definitely a massive mistake on my end). I don't know what would count as valid documents or proof to provide to Paypal apart from an invoice, to prove that my commission services are legitimate.

The documents that Paypal are asking me for are:

  • Proof of fulfillment
  • Proof of purchase from supplier (I'm the one providing services, so they're seeking proof of that such as receipts or proof of delivery)
  • More information about the transactions

I've read various horror stories about account limitations and I'm worried that I may completely lose access to my Paypal account if I submit insufficient or incorrect documents for them to review. I'm based in the Philippines and I've read online that account issues like these are a very common problem for artists in our country.

Does anyone have an experience in dealing with this issue? or is this basically unresolvable?

Question: can you tip someone a large a mount of money?

Say, 500 dollars for example. Is that possible? A friend of mine wants to offer me a large amount, but I want to make sure that doing so is an option first.

Commissioner cannot send full payment

I've recently done a commission for someone, and though they tried to send the full amount of money owed, only five dollars went through. I'm not sure what could've caused this, as I've checked everything both on Paypal and Kofi, even disconnecting and reconnecting my Paypal to it. If anyone has any way to help me out, it'd be much appreciated.
