Three big ones.

So for background, my Kona is a 2023 with only 34,000 kilometres on the clock. I was underneath it the other day and noticed the flange between the midpipe and flex pipe is EXTREMELY rusted out. And it’s literally just the flange which seems weird. Has anyone else seen this before? If so, is it something that can be covered under warranty?

The homie u/SelectHearing7801 and I had to represent for the Kona Ns at the Throtl Cars & Coffee this past Saturday.

Looks like a left side impact, that eventually (probably) caused the buyback issue after it was fixed and sold. (Buyback was from faulty O2 sensor i was told.)

The side damage did not cause a salvage or rebuilt title, so it must have been "minor ". But it does have a lemon buyback title.

I'm fine with the title as this is one of my dream cars, so I'll drive it until the wheels fall off. Not sure how fine I am with the past damage.

Dealership is wanting 15k for a '22 with 50k miles.

2022 Kona N with 46,000 miles on it. I just got back from a 1000 mile road trip and the paint is flaking off of both front calipers. Excuse how dirty it is, I was just going out to wash it when I noticed the passenger side had a huge flake missing. The driver side paint popped off in my hand when I touched it.

I do not drive aggressively to the point of overheating brakes, I’ve owned multiple high performance cars and this is a first for me. I downshift to come to a stop and brakes are not something I generally need to worry about replacing early across multiple platforms.

So I have an appointment at the dealership I like to see if there is any possibility of it being covered under warranty, but I highly doubt they will. I don’t know if the first owner used harsh chemicals or if there was an issue with the factory painting so that it deteriorated prematurely. I’ve owned it for ~10,000 miles.

My options are:

1. Big brake kit (kinda stupid considering I do not track this car and am not unhappy with the oem kit)

2. Repaint the stock calipers, definitely need to source a high heat N logo though.

3. Warranty, I doubt that’s really an option but it’s worth a shot. The soonest appointment that they have is in August. It’s kinda embarrassing driving around with them looking that way, but whatever. It is what it is. I’ve never had this issue on any other car, but I can’t say with certainty that the first owner didn’t fuck them up somehow.

I’m probably just going to repaint them, but it is tempting to go aftermarket and set $2500 on fire. I’ve got time to think about it while I wait for the appointment for them to send photos to Hyundai. Frick

I think I'm going to go with N75 stage 2 but still haven't made a final decision on what tune I'm going to buy. If you're running an ECU tune, share your setup & experience in the comments!

I just purchased a spare ECU for my 22 KN and I intended on sending it in to N75 for a stage 2 tune, but while I was reading about & comparing tunes from N75, Lap3, UpperMotorsports, and Cherry I came across RyansViews. Their prices are pretty attractive and from what I read in the Hyundai N Facebook groups they are using/working with a tuner from SXTH. It seems like they're pretty new to the scene though and so I haven't been able to find anyone talking about their experience with the tune, reliability, etc.

Anyone have experience with them?

I have stock rims and tires and my kona n that is lowered, I want to buy these rims size 18x8.5+35 , what tire size should I be looking at for the most comfortable ride and least amount of tire scrub or if anyone can share their specs or recommend a better rim tire setup??
