Some stans are extremely weird about brand ambassador deals.

Recently Wonyoung became an Dior Ambassador and you’d think she did something else besides show up and look good with the way another ambassadors fans are acting. I don’t get it, I personally love to see idols get brand ambassadors deals because I love to see how different brands style their models. I was excited to see Wonyoung go from MiuMiu to Dior, the piece she wore to her first show looks beautiful and mature. It never occurred to me that fans would feel threatened by another idol just being employed by the same brand as their fave.
It’s just very strange and parasocial to me considering a lot of these Stan’s hating on Wonyoung are grown. You’re not employed by Dior? It’s not you shooting campaigns so why do you feel such a strong desire to humiliate and create a false narrative over others?

Like they done spread a rumor that Wonyoung had to beg for her invite, took a moment with her staff and security and used it as “proof” she didn’t belong their and even lied about her being seated in the back.
Idk do any of you ever feel exhausted by this sort of thing? Like I’m feeling like I’m getting too old to even interact with fandom spaces anymore. It’s always so toxic and confusing.

Stray Kids didn’t submit for the 2027 Grammys — do you think the new Asian Pop category influenced the decision?

JYP Entertainment recently confirmed that Stray Kids are choosing not to submit any music for consideration at the 2027 Grammys. The company didn't give a reason and didn't confirm whether the decision had anything to do with the new Best Asian Pop Music Performance category.

That makes this especially interesting because all eight Stray Kids members were invited to become Recording Academy voting members this year, and they were already being discussed as potential contenders for the new category.

BTS already publicly opted out and directly criticized the idea of music being divided by region or language, but Stray Kids haven’t said anything similar. So maybe this isn't automatically a boycott?

Still, do you think the timing suggests the Asian Pop category may have played a role?

IVE reveals “girl hero” concept for upcoming mini album "Looks Can Kill"

IVE are officially rolling out their new mini album Looks Can Kill, which arrives October 26. The title track will be pre-released on October 19, and the promotional schedule is built around a “girl hero” concept with content like GIRL HERO, HERO COMICS, HERO ON SET, and POST CREDITS SCENE: GIRL HERO.

I actually really like the direction they seem to be going in visually. What do you think of the concept so far?

Is ‘Sun Kiss’ making TUIDE look less skilled than they actually are?

First and foremost, this isn’t meant to be a hate post. TUIDE have already gotten more than enough hate just for trying to pursue their dreams.

I know a lot of people feel they weren’t ready to debut, but I also wonder if part of the problem was simply choosing the wrong debut song and choreography for where they are skill-wise right now.

“Sun Kiss” is a good song, but the performance requires a lot of natural groove and looseness. Watching the choreography, some of the members can look a little stiff or wooden at times, which makes the performance feel more awkward than it probably would with choreography that played more to their strengths. I saw someone else point this out and I think there’s something to it.

Personally, I think they look more comfortable performing “Grls". “Sun Kiss” almost puts a spotlight on the areas where they’re still developing.

That doesn’t justify the amount of hate they’ve received at all, but do you think a different debut song or performance style could have changed the way people initially perceived them?

Which K-pop artists do you think will submit for Best Asian Pop Music Performance at the 2027 Grammys?

Obviously, the category isn’t limited to K-pop and artists from J-pop, C-pop and other Asian pop scenes can submit too. But since this is a K-pop space, who do you actually expect to go for it?

Stray Kids seem like an obvious possibility. Blackpink could potentially submit depending on what they release, and I’m also curious about soloists like Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, Jisoo, Jungkook, etc. There are also groups like aespa, Le Sserafim, and others whose labels might see a new Grammy category as worth pursuing.

Who do you think will actively submit?

Do you think the Grammys expected BTS to be the inaugural Best Asian Pop winner?

Earlier today the Recording Academy said that Best Asian Pop Music Performance is still moving forward for the 2027 Grammys, which has made me wonder about something.

Do you think BTS were originally expected to be the category’s first winners? Like that was the Academy’s grand scheme? lol

Obviously, there’s no way to know who Grammy voters would have actually chosen, and I’m not saying the category was literally created for BTS.

But the timing is interesting. BTS returned this year with Arirang after their hiatus, they’ve already been nominated for five Grammys without winning, and they would have been one of the biggest eligible acts in the category.

Instead, they decided not to submit anything for the 2027 Grammys after the category was announced.

So do you think the Academy sort of had it planned that BTS would be the obvious flagship act for the category when they introduced it? And if so, does their boycott change how the first year of the award will be perceived?
