How to write extended vowels in Kwaju
Kwaju Script, or the Kwaju writing system, is an experimental writing system that aims to create a fun and aesthetic way to represent Swahili.
This mini-lesson focuses on repeating vowels in Kwaju syllable blocks [CVV], and shows how to write them.
This has been a recurring problem for me as I've been developing the script, but I believe that this will make many words across languages easier to write.
The key/guide sheet has been included in this post for reference. Feel free to try to decode the quote; bonus points if you post or comment a word or phrase using the script that contains an extended vowel!
Edit: extended vowel markers are good for clean blocks in handwriting, but may be harder to implement as a digital font. Therefore you can choose whether or not you use the extended vowel system!
