The gold medal winners (men's and women's champions) of the 2026 CAVB Beach Volleyball Continental Senior Championships on Abu Haif Beach in Alexandria, Egypt, will directly secure quota places for their countries at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. So , total of 4 athletes ( one pair per gender ) will qualify for Olympics 2028 from this event .

Championship and Quota Details
The 2026 tournament in Alexandria runs from August 18 to August 22, 2026. It acts as the primary African continental qualification stage for the LA28 Olympic Games.

Event: 2026 CAVB Beach Volleyball African Championships

Location: Abu Heif Beach, Alexandria, Egypt

Dates: August 18–22, 2026

Participants: 28 countries with 46 total teams (24 men's teams, 22 women's teams)

Quota Reward: Gold medalists in both the men's and women's brackets earn direct Olympic quota spots for their respective National Federations.

Preview / Pairs to Watch Out For

On the Men’s Side of the Competition , Moaz Abdelkarim / Youssef Abdelrahman 🇪🇬 and Soufiane El Gharouti / Zouheir Elgraoui 🇲🇦 will be the favourites to win these championships and win an Olympic Quota for their country .

The Flag Football World Championships 2026 in Düsseldorf , Germany 🇩🇪 continued on the 4th and most important day of all as we got our new world champions in both men’s and women’s category as well as the 2nd quota places were confirmed in both men’s and women’s events from these world champs for Olympic Games based on the 3rd place matches .

Men’s

As it turned out on the men’s side , it was Canada 🇨🇦 vs Mexico 🇲🇽 in the 3rd place match for the quota , in which Team Canada 🇨🇦 came out on top thereby confirming their quota place in Flag Football for Olympic Games 2028 .

The Final turned out to be slightly one-sided affair as Team USA 🇺🇸 clearly showed their class winning the world championships comfortably in the end over Italy 🇮🇹 but Italy can take solace from having already won a quota place for Olympics 2028 thanks to reaching the finals .

The Final was between neighbours and rivals Canada 🇨🇦 and USA 🇺🇸 in which Canada 🇨🇦 surprised their more prominent counterparts USA 🇺🇸 in a close match and came out as the eventual women’s world champions .

The 2026 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships will be held in Frankfurt, Germany 🇩🇪(12–16 August 2026), as athletes compete for the very first available Olympic quota places in Rhythmic Gymnastics for the LA28 Olympic Games.

All eyes will be on Darja Varfolomeev 🇩🇪 as the defending Olympic, World, and European Champion looks to add to her impressive resume. Unsurprisingly, European gymnasts make the large bulk of the top athletes looking to lock in an Olympic quota. European silver and bronze medallists Stiliana Nikolova 🇧🇬 and Taisiia Onofriichuk 🇺🇦 will be looking to repeat their success. They will face opposition from  🇧🇾 , 🇮🇱 , 🇮🇹 and 🇷🇺  along with Asian champion Takhmina Ikromova 🇺🇿 .
 
Group All-Around
I’ve been impressed with 🇧🇷 at both the Pan American Championships and the last World Cup event and I think people may be shocked with their performance coming into this championship. Even if they don’t outright win I think they will have a good chance to medal.  🇨🇳 and 🇪🇸 are the other favourites to win the quota. 🇮🇱 , 🇷🇺 and even hosts 🇩🇪 will be looking to pull off the upset.

So , all in all it’s going to be a pretty exciting event which u can watch live worldwide on Eurovision Sport as the best of rhythmic gymnasts fight for World Champs Glory and Olympic Quotas for LA 2028 Olympics .

The CEV European Beach Volleyball Championships are going to be held in Stare Jablonki , Poland 🇵🇱 from 12-16 AUG giving quotas to 1 Men’s Pair and 1 Women’s Pair who will be the winners of the respective competitions to make it to LA 2028

So , a total of 4 Athletes ( 2 Men and 2 Women ) are going to make it to the Olympics 2028 from this event

A total of 19 Different European Countries are going to take part in this competition across both men and women’s events so a pretty exciting competition

Men : On the Men’s Side , Sweden 🇸🇪 will be the favourites to get the quota as they have the highest ranked 2 pairs in FIVB Rankings among the European Teams so most likely they will get this one

Women : On the Women’s Side , Competition is set to be tougher as Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann (Germany) 🇩🇪and Nina Brunner and Tanja Hüberli (Switzerland)🇨🇭 are going to fight it out for the top spot and getting the quota place to the Olympics as they are the top ranked European pairs going into the tournament

Eventing Team : Germany 🇩🇪 , New Zealand 🇳🇿 , Great Britain 🇬🇧 , Australia 🇦🇺 , France 🇫🇷 , Ireland 🇮🇪 and Netherlands 🇳🇱 should get the top 7 teams spot and qualify a team of 3 athletes each

Jumping Team : Germany 🇩🇪 , Sweden 🇸🇪 , Great Britain 🇬🇧 , Switzerland🇨🇭 , France 🇫🇷, Netherlands 🇳🇱 and Belgium 🇧🇪 should get the top 7 teams spot and qualify a team of 3 athletes each
