Really enjoyed the build.

October is my birthday month and Halloween is my favorite holiday. This year the wife went all out! She got me the Creator 3-in-1 Haunted House, the Icons Midnight Valley Mayor Manor, the Scary Haunted Tree and the Jack-O'-Lantern Pickup Truck! What makes this even more special is that I'm only able to make about one big purchase a year this year she did it for me!!! She even hunted down, and found, the haunted house and pickup for really good discounted prices! Unfortunately the truck hasn't arrived yet. She also got me the Vintage Steam Train, at a discounted price; which I'm wanting to turn into a Halloween excursion train taking visitors around the village.

Last year She got me Baron von Barron’s Haunted House from a Bricks and Minifigs shop, so that was actually the start of my Halloween village, but these will definitely increase the village.

As to the von Barron’s mansion... I'm hoping to customize it and make it the centerpiece of the village.

Always loved the classic bit of a little dog chasing off a large, scary beast, in this case a werewolf.

I have a Christmas village every year. It’s our first year trying a Halloween village!

I’m saving my NBC sets until I watch the movie and I just got Project Hail Mary from “Prime Day” which I’m saving for the steelbook release. ☺️

I made 400+ stalks of wheat, I have no fingers left!! Here's the start of our halloween village, the farming side with a wheat field and pumpkin patch, with the swampy river separating it from the main (as yet unfinished) village. Our traditional trail of doom follows Mr Horseman. There is a little swamp habitat behind the floating house. Thinking of a cosy autumnal tree orchard area beside this which leads to the village proper.

Next step: Finish the rest of the village. And find better lights for this area so I can take some closeups to show all the details!

Last year I cobbled together a small costume party scene out of bits and parts I had, to see if I’d like building a fall/halloween/spooky village. I discovered I loved having an opportunity to use a wide variety of minifigures that normally would not work together. I was sold, so YES, I’ve jumped down a new rabbit hole of Lego sets to collect!

Last years pre-Black Friday sales gave me the opportunity to get 2 HP sets at 40% off so I bought:
-Olivanders & Madam Malkins shops -Hagrids Hut
Since both of these had spooky potential and were a great deal.

This year I’ve been hunting minifigures and sales on sets I’d want in my Halloween village. The fates have been kind in sending sales early this year, so it’s now time for me to buckle down and get building.

I think this year is great year for anyone wanting to start building this kind of seasonal display due to the number of good sets currently available and sales that are taking place. These are the sets I have bought recently and are currently on the shelves for purchase.

I’d love to know what other currently available Lego sets you guys are, or will be getting for your village? We’ve got some more “deal days” just ahead of us and I like snagging my sets on sale; so I don’t want to overlook possible sets to add to my growing collection.

So I recently have been going down a rabbit hole trying to self teach my self about the monster fighters theme after receiving this comment on a recent video I made. If someone was around during the theme or knows the complete story line of the sets and could comprehensively teach me all the little details in regards to the theme I’d greatly appreciate it. I would very much like to craft a video on the entire monster fighter storyline and have learned quite a bit but would like to hear it from someone who is an ‘expert’ on the theme. Any help would be amazing 🙏
