Morning, afternoon, or evenings friends!

I love Lapidot, and read a lot of fanfics and other stuff. (If you guys need, or want to recommend me something I’d GREATLY appreciate it :3)

But, I have recently finished rereading the “Sorry I’m Bad at this” and “Sorry I’m still bad at this” by bagofdoritos. I absolutely love the comics, but I personally believe the “Sorry I’m still bad at this” was super undeveloped and felt rushed based upon only the Lapidot aspect compared to the original book having character development from side characters. (Again, I love it as I’ve reread it multiple times.)

So, I feel like rewriting the 2nd fanfic in my own direction, while keeping certain aspects from the first book (Sorry I’m bad at this). but I’m curious and like some input from some people

Is it ok to make a “spinoff” basically from Baggy’s (the originals artists name). While changing none of the characters but altering the story and path? While keeping certain aspects of the original story?
If I did end up putting tons of efforts into making quality chapters from that. Should I post them? On stuff say wattpad, or other platforms? For people who might be interested?

I truly love the Lapidot relationship, although the “sorry I’m bad at this” is a bit… profane… i still love the character development and how they portray all the characters… so should i make a spinoff from the bagofdoritos spinoff from the 1st book, or just make a new fanfic :D

Lapis couldn't help but cock an eyebrow at the strange theory, she just caught peridot watching some weird animated show on her tablet, it featured various busty anime girs and TONS of physics...it was hypnotic how everything giggled, peridot claimed she was watching it for "research purposes" although her cheeks where flushed an unusual deep shade of green when the ocean gem discovered the strange hobby

"I do wonder...what is this reason peri?" Asked lapis with a slight chuckle on her voice, clearly biting back a giggle with all her might, "A-Aerodynamics!!! Big breasts create a smoother flow of air arround the front of the character, and they also create a very efficient distraction for impending enemies nearby" peridot cleared her throat, ready to continue her explanation, her face turning greener by the second

"I must admit I would be uh...very distracted too" exclaimed peridot, scratching the back of her neck, lapis couldn't hold her laughter back anymore as it bursted out of her all at once "okay that last part was just you being horny" said lapis as she immediately bursted into another fit of giggles and snorts "what's horny?" Asked peridot confused, she's going to search that on Google later...
