Deleting passwords saved locally to the browser

Hey Folks,

My company is currently in the process of moving everyone away from the Edge/Chrome password manager to using LastPass exclusively.

(LastPass is a third party password manager)

I've configured an Intune policy which has disabled the password manager from saving any new passwords.

However any passwords which existed before the policy was enrolled are still active.

Is there any way I can either:

A: Prevent any existing password entries from being suggested

B: Delete the passwords that are already saved remotely across 250+ users

Thank you!

Delete? Keep as Backup? Refund?

I have had LastPass for a long time, but decided to switch to a new platform because I wanted extra layers of security in case of breaches.

I paid for LastPass for the year about 1 month ago. I also already paid for the year on the new platform and switched over, but I still have LastPass as a backup for now to make sure everything transferred smoothly.

Once I feel comfortable that everything moved over correctly and there are no glitches, should I delete LastPass completely, or would you keep it sitting on the back burner?

I think leaving it active may be counterproductive from a security standpoint. When I exported the file, some of the notes did not transfer correctly, but they looked okay in the new platform after import.

Also, does LastPass usually refund annual plans if you cancel this soon after renewal, or should I expect to just eat the cost and move on?

Is there anything specific I should check or verify before closing out LastPass completely?

Broken password reset process

Free personal account

For whatever reason, password doesn't work as of today. Checked, rechecked then checked again. I'm entering it correctly...

Clicked forgot password, got a code in my email. Entered code into site and it fails saying it doesn't recognize the browser. At some point, I cleared cookies, cache and site data during troubleshooting process.

I've tried different browsers, same result. What is the point of sending a code to my email to reset my password if it needs to see evidence in the browser that I've logged in with it before?? What if my PC becomes unusable and I have to login from a new PC?

As of now, I'm locked out from too many attempts. How long does that remain in effect?

I did not generate any backup codes during account setup. That's on me.

Is there any solution to this?

Edit: Already read this guide and its info is not helpful to my current situation.

LastPass deletes accounts after just 2 years?

I used Last Pass a lot a couple of years ago but it seems that my account now got auto deleted a month ago. I didn't even know that was a thing.

Does somebody know what to do in a case like that? Because to contact customer support, you need to provide a valid account email address. Well... the account got deleted. If I'm unlucky, the data is truly gone. Which is insane. Because I never knew that this was even a thing.

But even if they keep the data for a while after truly wiping it, how to even get in contact???

Structuring Shared Creds with Multiple Groups

One app/password often needs to be shared with multiple departments. Since a credential can only live in one shared folder, I’m thinking of creating one shared folder per application and assigning multiple groups to it.

Is that how you guys do it?

Any gotchas or things you’d do differently if you were starting over? I’m trying to avoid creating a mess.

HELP - Not Receiving Email for verification

I am unable to log in to LastPass because I am not receiving the verification email. It has always worked fine in the past. It is not in my junk mail, I have sent a ticket in but I desperately need access. I found aphone number online but all it does is say to go to the website. Does anyone have a legit phone number or any tips on how I can get help?

Not receiving verification emails.

Yes my password is correct, I've had this account many years so I copy and paste it.

Please provide a link to contact a human. Also I did notice you managed to auto-renew my paid account.
