Is there a way to mass export a shared folder?

My father and I are both LastPass users. He is traveling overseas and had his cellphone stolen, locking him out of his vault. With his permission, I used our pre-configured Emergency Access to get access to his vault, so I could send him some key logins.

Is there a way for me to easily mass-export a few dozen logins from the shared folder? I will copy-paste everything one at a login if I need to, because I love him, but I would rather not.

So, exactly what *do* I eat on a low oxalate diet?

Got the results back from my 24-hour urine test, and I have ridiculously high oxalate. Doc advises I need to move to a low-oxalate diet. Great, I’d like to avoid further stones.

Well, now I’m looking at the handouts about oxalate and I have questions. Some things aren’t a problem. I’m already a vegetarian, so I don’t get that much animal protein. Beets are terrible, so I’m glad to have a doctor-approved reason to skip them. I’ll be sad to lose spinach, but I can cope.

However, it seems I’m also supposed to reduce my consumption of leafy greens, soy, potatoes, most nuts and legumes, lots of produce, and grains.

That appears to be…ummm…all the foods? Or at least everything in a reasonably balanced diet; it appears I can still have mayonnaise and Sour Patch Kids. But how in the world is anyone staying below 50mg of oxalate a day and still consuming adequate nutrition?

Options for an autistic child who can’t safely use a booster?

We live in the United States. My 6yo is on the verge of outgrowing the maximum height of our Britax Grow with You ClickTight, which was the tallest harness seat I could find.

We have experimented with a booster, but he’s just not able to sit in it safely. He doesn’t have any physical limitations like hypotonia; it’s purely behavioral. He slumps, pulls the seat belt, chews on the belt, or puts the shoulder belt behind himself. Because of his developmental delays, typical behavioral strategies like social stories and sticker charts aren’t working.

We don’t qualify for Medicaid, and our private insurance does not cover car seats. So we’d like to find an option that’s not thousands of dollars out of pocket. We have a large car with captain’s chairs, so size isn’t a big concern.

I’ve considered a RideSafer vest when they are finally back in stock. For people who have used them, how resistant are they to fiddling/fidgeting/general chaotic behavior? Are there alternatives? Does anyone have a recommended for a 5-point harness that’s not a million dollars?

A narrow quilt for a floor bed

My son has a floor bed, so most quilts and blankets have too much drape. I decided to make him something custom. It was 75” by 50” pre-quilting, and shrunk to an absolutely perfect size. Plus it really brightens the room!

Washing an unbound quilt?

I have a large panel I plan to quilt and then cut up to make some decorative pillow shams. I’d rather cut them post-wash to make sure they are the right size. Has anyone tried washing an unbound quilt before? Will I be okay as long as I leave myself extra border?

I do plan to stay stitch around the edges. I could also serge them if needed, but I hate to waste all that thread on something I am going to cut off in a few hours.

Doodle quilt update

I posted a few weeks ago about my doodle quilt, a small hand piece where I’m quilting little doodles. Thought I would share an update. I have about half the area covered in doodles now. I’m filling in the gaps with a black seed stitch for more texture.

The seed stitch feels so nice. I keep getting distracted by stopping to pet it.

Any suggestions for other things to add?

Henna over wavy brown hair

Showing off my results. I have lightly wavy, extremely long hair. All three pictures are air dried with a small amount of mousse, taken in front of the same window. My curl pattern seems unaffected.

I used Ancient Sunrise Rajasthani Monsoon Henna, mixed with tap water about 12 hours before, adding 1tsp citric acid per 100g of henna. No other additives. It takes about 500g of henna to cover my hair. I let it sit under plastic wrap for about 3.5 hours before I could no longer tolerate the sensory nightmare that is adding more than a kilo of mud to my head.

I love the bright auburn! I’ve done henna before, but it’s been years. Shoutout to my little sister, who meticulously sectioned my hair and applied.

Toss those bicycles straight in the dumpster, folks

This one is from the parking garage at work. I always laugh when I see it.

Baby quilt + big sister quilt

I live for a deadline, so here’s my just-in-time baby quilt for my son’s teacher. The last day of school is tomorrow, which I think means I finished it with [checks watch] nine whole hours to spare.

The new baby has a big sister, so I made some of the scraps into a coordinating doll/stuffie blanket. I’m making an effort not to hoard my scraps like an extremely comfortable dragon.

Fabrics are Ruby Star from my local craft shop, selected by my son. Pattern is the 3-yard Twin Star quilt from SewCanShe, with a TOTALLY INTENTIONAL twist on the stars that was definitely a design choice and not me assembling every single star wrong and not noticing until the quilt top was done.

Holiday unfuckening: the spice cabinet

I have the day off and one of my kids is at day camp, so I decided to finally clean out the spice cabinet. I have a nice big cabinet just for spices that was utterly unusable because of the chaos. Also, there were a couple spices lurking in the back that I’m pretty sure predate my second grader.

My arms hurt from installing all the new spice racks, but it was 100% worth it. I’m so inspired to cook now.

Bonus photo: the six (6) different jars of paprika that I found, because we kept buying a new one when we couldn’t find it.

Bulk spices?

I have a bunch of lovely empty spice jars I’d like to refill instead of throwing away. Does anyone know of somewhere local that sells bulk spices that’s not Whole Foods? I’ll go there if I have to, but I fear the parking lot.

(And honestly, I don’t even know if Whole Foods has bulk spices anymore. Haven’t been there in years.)

The “new, sealed” Lego kit I bought on Facebook marketplace versus what was actually inside it.

I opened the box to find empty pouches and a handful of loose pieces. I definitely had to make some questionable build choices to even get the three flowers I managed to put together. Not really the bouquet I was hoping for.

Stent yeeted itself after laser lithotripsy

Two weeks ago, I went to the ED with signs of a bad UTI. I evened up having a stent placed. It turns out I had a large (13mm) kidney stone, and the stent needed to drain properly so they could treat the infection.

The stent was absolutely miserable, so I was really eager to get my follow up scheduled ASAP.

Today I went in to have the stone broken up via laser lithotripsy. The surgeon also placed a new stent. My surgery was the last of the day and ended up significantly delayed, so by the time I was mostly recovered from the anesthesia, most people had gone home.

After I managed my first post-up pee, I started continuously leaking urine. It seems like my body was not ready to cope with another stent, because it expelled it. I had about 5 inches of stent peaking out.

There was no one around at that point but a resident, who said to just have the nurse remove the whole stent and call in the morning.

Had anyone else had this happen? Am I likely to ever up with yet another stent?
