What’s the most annoying part of mowing your lawn?(trimming, cleanup, or something else)

I’ve been thinking about lawn care lately and realized everyone seems to dislike different parts of mowing.

For me, it’s dealing with thick patches and trimming edges.Plus, my yard is quite large and somewhat uneven, and I don't want to put too much effort into mowing the lawn.

What’s the most annoying part of mowing your lawn?

trimming edges?

dealing with thick grass?

cleaning clippings?

setup/cleanup time?

Curious what others think.

New sod…thoughts on my watering schedule?

Just got some new sod 2 days ago. I’ve been doing 30 mins at 5am and 30 mins at 5pm. What do you guys think? It’s daily hot here….mostly in the 90’s all the time or high 80’s. Should I be watering more? Less? Thank you.

Also, I’ve had a few people saying to walk on the seams to join them but everywhere I read says stay off the grasss. Thoughts on that? Thanks again!!

New Lawn Seed Suggestions

Hello All,

I recently put in a new pool and have a lot of open area from the new construction that i need to seed. I live in WV and it is all clay soil that gets full sun. I have not had much luck with seeding with box store seed so i want to use a good seed. I have found what looks to be a great seed company just north of me in Ohio (Oliger Seed Company). They recommended me their Tall Fescue mix which is 100% 5 Varieties of TF. I know seeding in July is not the best time but i can not wait till fall to do it. I will be using pelletized lime and fertilizer on it before i put down seed. I need this to come up quick so i was thinking of getting a couple 25 lb bags of that TF mix and a bag of their 5 way Rye which is 5 varieties of their Perennial Rye grass to mix in with it. My thinking is the rye will come up quick to help water erosion on the banks and then the TF can come up after. Any thoughts or suggestions on this?
