I am remembering why I haven't gotten a helix piercing since my first one thirty years ago lol.

• This is a new piercing, 6 days old.
• Solid 14kt gold top, titanium flat back post
• Post is 16g, 12mm long (I know that's long!)
• Use Neilmed to clean 3 times a day
• Can't take anti-inflammatories
• No embedding or sinking jewelry

As you can see, it's angry and swollen af. It's not oozing and not warm to the touch. There's a little room on either side of the piercing but not a lot.

Any advice or is this a tough it out situation?

I have a pretty small stack, but looking to add! I have the pictures labeled for my right and left ear.

Curious if my anatomy would be better suited/not recommended for certain piercings and what those would be.

Piercings I am interested in, just not sure which side/what order to get them: Rook, daith, flat, helix (mid, forward, upper, etc.), lobe constellation (stacked? I’m not familiar with all of the terminology😭)

Tagged NSFW because its gross looking and I don't want to startle anyone. Anyway this is my custom BVLA piece for my daith, 14k RG with Amethyst and Light Amethyst, that now looks heinous and brown because of ear wax and other healing discharge. the piercing is now totally healed and I can clean the jewelry pretty agressively but this is the best it looks. This is after a hot shower with soap and then rubbing it down with a q tip and alcohol. That little piece of fuzz stuck on it is from the qtip. I am pretty sure at this point since these are prong set that the wax/oils/discharge/whatever are getting UNDER the stones.

Its a seam ring so I can't just pop it out for a cleaning. Does anyone else have this issue or do I just have gross ears? Is there something else I can be cleaning it with? I feel like my only options are things I don't want near a piercing even if it is healed.

I'm thinking I might have BVLA swap the stones for darker ones. My theme was originally to be purples only but I want to add in other cool tones, so dark green/blue/emerald/sapphire type situation could be good. That, or have the stones repurposed and metal melted down and get an entirely new daith piece that is either bezel set stones or no stones altogether.

Kind of a bummer this is such a nice piece when not looking like this.

How we looking? First pic is after cleaning this morning, second is right before I cleaned them earlier. 3rd is 5 seconds ago lol. Warm water then saline spray 2x a day one time in the morning one time before bed. No pain or anything crazy luckily

Hi all! I currently have a rook and anti-tragus piercing (plus lobe) on my left ear, with only my tragus and lobe pierced on my right. I've been wanting to add one more piercing to my right ear to make things feel more balanced, but I also have a toddler, which makes it a bit more complicated.

Right now, I'm considering a daith or conch piercing, but I'm open to suggestions. I think a daith might be more discreet and easier to manage with a toddler, but I like the conch because it could help balance my ear better. I hope that makes sense.

I got my rook and additional helix a week ago, and so far its 5/10 level of pain. Now I am thinking of getting conch and tragus. But I am hesitating if I should add, because I feel like it would make my ear crowded. I want dainty shophiticated style of piecing. But I dont want overwhelming piercing 😅

Hi I'm new!! So this is how my rook looks now vs how it looked on the day I got it pierced. Here's more info:

I got it pierced on 13th of August, it was fine until 16th when it started swelling like shown in the picture. I clean it three times a day with sterile saline solution and then dry it off with a tissue.

The only thing I can think of that could've irritated it is me wearing headphones (cleaned them before obviously but maybe it put too much pressure on the ear? It wasn't touching the piercing directly though). Pain fluctuates, it was stronger yesterday but it calmed down a bit today. So did the redness bc it was way more red and angry yesterday. My sister said that she could see white-looking discharge, it doesn't smell bad though. I'm anxious because not even my snug hurt this much (but it did swell up similarly after a few days of getting it) and I'm worried it's infected/at the risk of infection. Any help would be very appreciated!!

Just got my daith done a few hours ago and I’m not sure about the size of the hoop? Or am I just staring at it too much?

Got my triple vertical helix a couple days ago (second picture is day one, first is day four) and my mom said that the distances between are different.

Im pretty sure its just the angle of the piercings combined with the longer bars (for healing) but im still a little worried.

The piercer measured them with callipers so i know that any distance issue would from me flinching (barely).

Basically!! Im like 90% sure it will be impossible to tell if its crooked once i downsize. But that 10% is really loud.

Looking for a minimalist addition (or two) and narrowed it down to:
- high upper lobe
- forward helix
- conch

Or some combination of those, maybe one left and one right.

Give me your opinions!

Got my conch pierced professionally yesterday.
Jewelry is a 10mm flatback titanium stud, I believe 16g?
I know my anatomy is a bit odd or that’s what I was told so we went for a more inner conch type spot. I don’t plan to wear hoops in it, and I think it’s a cute spot for some cute studs in the future. I think I am happy with it, especially from the front but after looking at lots of conch piercing/jewelry videos & etc I feel like mine may be… wrong? I’m a bit concerned if it’s at an angle and where the exit is.. Again it’s less than 24 hours old and could just be me overthinking it but, be honest with me. How bad is it?

I got my septum pierced on Saturday. My piercing looked relatively straight when I initially got it pierced. I was told I have a deviated septum and the piercer had said it came out straighter than he thought it would. I was happy with the piercing.

However the next day it suddenly became very uneven. It's just lopsided to the left. It's been uneven for a few days now. Could this just be swelling?

I just spray with nailmed twice a day currently and it's not causing any issues from a healing standpoint. It's titanium grade jewelry, 16 gauge and three days old.

EDIT: You were right. I just rotated it post shower and it's fine. I'll not touch it from now on even if it looks strange but glad to know the piercing wasn't crooked.

Hi everyone! I really need your advice :) I’ve been having issues with my second lobes recently and it’s been 5 months since i’ve had them done. I’ve been maintaining them by downsizing them, using the Neil-Med Saline Solution spray, using titanium-grade jewellery and not sleeping on them.

However, my second lobe piercing on my right ear has been very irritable lately. Every so often it creates a fluid like bump but goes down and crusts. It drys the skin around the piercing and leaves a raised bump in that same area (not noticeable unless you touch it). When it gets inflamed/irritated the bump looks like there is fluid inside it, not sore or painful just a pretty bad bump to look at. But when it dries out and I clean it, it scabs so there’s
minor fluid and blood when cleaned. I do run and go to the gym almost everyday so obviously sweat tends to build up causing the lobe to possibly irritate due to that factor as well. I do dry my ear using my hair dryer with the cold setting on to dry the lobe every time I clean it or get it wet.

I went to the my piercer about 3 weeks ago and she had mentioned that due to the shape of my ear, it’s very prone to catching a-lot of moisture when not dried properly. But, no matter how many times I dry my ear like I said using my hair dryer, the bump keeps coming back. I’m also curious to see if I’m allergic to the jewellery. Mentioned above, I use titanium-grade flat back studs and titanium is known to be used medically. Considering that my left ear is completely fine (no bumps, no crusties etc.) I wonder if it’s just my right ear that’s reacting differently to the material. I would like to preface that my lobe is not showing any signs of infection: pain, swelling, puss or soreness. I really do not want to retire this piercing after months of taking care of it, I really don’t know what’s going on.

🧷 It’s currently dried up and crusting but minor blood and fluid does come out when cleaned.

I will be going to my piercer soon to but I’d love to get some advice about this and see what you guys think. I’d really appreciate it!

uk based. can anyone help me find a nose ring in a 2G that looks like this (left) my current (right) is 2g with a 12mm diameter and i HATE IT. or perhaps someone who could custom make this.

*(edit) Im looking for a ring thats not actually a full ring but a flat curved bar? straight bar through my nose then curves, for this im guessing a custom bar is definitely the option but cant find a maker

I’ve been working on letting myself actually do the things I like/want instead of worrying so much about whether I “should,” and getting my navel repierced was one of them. Honestly, I feel kinda badass with it and I’m so glad I did it 😂

My navel is pretty horizontal/closed, so my piercer started me with smaller ends and said once it’s fully healed I could switch to a larger bottom ball if I wanted.

I’m already curious what kind of jewelry would look best with my anatomy! Has anyone with a similar navel found jewelry that really complements it? I’d especially love something that visually opens/defines the navel a little more, if that makes sense.

Obviously I’m leaving this one completely alone while it heals, just excited and already thinking about future jewelry!
