Authentic 2015 Indominus Rex – Mirrored Pad Misprint?

Hey everyone,

I was going through my childhood collection and noticed these matching, unprinted patches on both upper thighs of my 2015 LEGO Indominus Rex.

The figure has a few minor play scratches from when I was younger, but the underlying tan plastic inside the blank patches is completely smooth and factory-glossy. There are no gouges, teeth marks, or chemical smudges, and the ink borders are incredibly sharp.

I've verified authenticity by confirming the "© 2010 The LEGO Group" mold stamp is present inside both legs and on the torso.

Is this a known pad contamination/oil error from the 2015 factory run? I would love to get your thoughts on it and find out how rare this specific error is for this figure. Thanks!

So I’ve recently bought a few pieces from PaB and this griffin shield is “out of focus”. Am I just unlucky or maybe this gave some value?

Pick 1 is the one “strange” just to be clear

How did this misprint happen?

Grand Moff Tarkin (sw0157) from 2006-2008. It looks like nostrils or something was printed on him? Has anyone seen something like this before. I’m still deciding if I think it makes the fig look better or worse.

Worth me paying up for it or no?

Is this a misprint?

Ordered this from the pick a brick and it looks like it was printed a bit off centred so the ink or whatever bled on to the side of the fig
