Cordouan!

Finally I was able to visit Phare de Cordouan (1611)! One of the most iconic lighthouses in France and probably the whole Atlantic. The oldest lighthouse in France and the tenth tallest lighthouse in the world.
A great score on my Lighthouse "collecting" journey.

The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in Buxton, North Carolina, USA stripped all the way to the red brick with the light removed for replacement. This is the first time since 1873, and maybe the last time ever, that the lighthouse doesn’t feature the iconic black and white spiral paint.
