I do some similarities to Xiao Bei but maybe it’s just the short hair.

What I do know is that Liu Yuning is looking very fit these days 🫠

Behind the scenes - How to tie a tie - The Truth s4 - Lyn Studio

^(Another very short bts update from the studio)

>新身份解锁,宝贝变保安?!来看宁波  如何找寻真相!

>A new identity unlocked—Baby has become a security guard?! Come and see how Ningbo uncovers the truth!

This one is so funny.  He guessed his job was a security guard and that he has to stand guard

But then he has to tie his own tie !

It makes me wonder ? I know he is “dressed” by others, but he must really be able to tie his own tie surely?

.What do you think ?

Enjoy, while we wait for the photo updates .. hopefully coming soon

"Bon Appétit!" – Show Your Best LYN-with-FOOD 🥡A Thread So Delicious📸 | July 23, 2026

Alright, alright... I've been talking about this thread for a while, and after today's post by u/Wonderful-Divide3031, here it is.

A thread that's simply too delicious to resist. Or should that apply to Lyn instead? Well... definitely him too.

And why? I'll borrow a few reasons from Wonderful-Divide. Thank you! 😘

  1. He is always hungry. Please feed this tall man properly.
  2. He is insanely cute when he eats.
  3. He makes everything look so delicious when he eats.... including himself.

So, without further ado...

Whether he's eating, cooking, or simply making us hungry...
We'd love to see your favorite photos, GIFs, clips, or simply anything you have!

🥡

Let's eat!

Yours, HJ!

I don't really see Ning eating, do you?

Two days ago, I posted a video of Ning eating for nine minutes. I recently saw this brief video of him eating again. Although it only lasted 41 seconds, I think I spent at least nine minutes watching it. I didn't see him eating as much as he was gorgeous and enticing. Assuming he was on a variety program, how could he be so flirtatious?

I completely agree with the Facebook poster Silvia Maria Oikawa's caption: The stare that stops everyone ✨.

Do you observe him eating or doing something else? I eagerly await your observations, especially yours, u/Head_Judgement. I also hope this offers all of us a break from the ridiculous WTW drama and focuses on our lovable Laoda.

Liu Yuning’s Legal Representatives Issue Official Statement Regarding Online Defamation and Rights Protection (English Translation) • July 22, 2026

Today, Liu Yuning Studio’s legal representatives, Shanghai Leezhao Law Office, published an official lawyer’s statement addressing the recent spread of false information, defamatory content, and other online conduct targeting Liu Yuning across multiple platforms.

Since many members here don’t read Chinese, I’ve translated the statement into English below. The original statement is attached as an image.
Before the translation, I’d like to share a few personal thoughts.

Over the past weeks, this situation has grown far beyond one platform. It has spread across Chinese social media and, as we’ve all seen, has spilled over onto Reddit as well. There have been countless discussions, disagreements, corrections, speculation, and unfortunately a great deal of misinformation presented with complete confidence.

I’ve also seen some of our own members participating in those discussions, and I did join one too.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
When something is plainly untrue, correcting it calmly and factually is perfectly reasonable. I’ve done that myself more than once. We shouldn’t feel that we have to watch misinformation spread without saying anything.

What I’d encourage is that we stay mindful of how we engage.

We’ve seen livestream clips spliced together, edited, and stripped of the surrounding context. We’ve seen screenshots shared without the conversations they came from. We’ve seen recurring audience interactions, familiar refrains, and even lyrics turned into “evidence” for claims they were never intended to support. We’ve seen speculation repeated often enough that people begin quoting it as though it were established fact.

Before long, many people aren’t even discussing the original event anymore. They’re reacting to somebody else’s edited version of it.
We’ve also seen increasingly elaborate narratives built around his fandom itself — accusations of cult-like behavior, pyramid structures, caste systems, and organized fan hierarchies, complete with diagrams and graphics being circulated online.
Whether every claim is true, false, exaggerated, or somewhere in between isn’t even the point I’m trying to make here.

The point is that once people are looking for evidence to fit a particular narrative, almost anything can be twisted to support it.
That’s exactly why I think we should all be a little more careful.

If you’ve followed Liu Yuning for any length of time, you’ve probably heard him say more than once that he has to be careful with his words because they can so easily be taken out of context. I’ve always admired that about him. It isn’t fear. It’s experience. He understands how quickly a few seconds, one sentence, or one misunderstanding can snowball into something completely different online.

And that’s one of the reasons I’m honestly not worried about him.

Liu Yuning is a big man.

He’s an exceptionally intelligent, thoughtful, and deeply competent man. He has navigated public life for years, and I have tremendous confidence in his judgment. Seeing the studio now take formal legal action only reinforces that confidence for me.

He doesn’t need us to rescue him.

What concerns me much more is the possibility that, despite the very best intentions, we might unintentionally make things harder for him.

This isn’t a war, and we’re not his soldiers.

I’ve noticed more and more comments along the lines of “let them come,” “we’ll fight them,” or “we’ll win.” I completely understand where those feelings come from. When you care about someone, your first instinct is often to protect them.

But I don’t believe that’s what Liu Yuning has ever asked of us.

If anything, he’s shown us the opposite. Through his own example, he’s consistently reminded us to be thoughtful, measured, and careful with our words because he understands that every public interaction has consequences.

Fairly or unfairly, people judge artists by the behavior of their fans.

Our words don’t only represent us. They can reflect back on him.
I’d hate for any of us to unintentionally give people another reason to look down on Liu Yuning or dismiss him because of the actions of his fandom. That would be the exact opposite of what we’re trying to achieve.

So this certainly isn’t me asking anyone to stay silent.
If you see something that’s factually wrong and you want to correct it respectfully, that’s entirely your choice, and sometimes it’s absolutely the right thing to do.

I’d simply ask that we choose our battles carefully. Stick to facts. Add context where it’s missing. Don’t let someone else’s bad faith dictate your own behavior. And remember that not every argument needs to be won.

Sometimes the best way to support someone isn’t by speaking louder.
Sometimes it’s by refusing to become part of the noise.

Finally, I’d like to thank everyone who has handled this situation with patience, respect, and a level head. I’ve noticed it, and I genuinely appreciate it.

And on a personal note, I’m relieved to see the studio take this step. Persistent defamation, deliberate misinformation, malicious editing of someone’s words or actions, and organized harassment should never become normal, no matter who the target is.

And I would also speculate that he might be doing this for the fans, as the fans have been largely targeted. IYKYK.

🖤

Who’s Going to Be #1000? 👀

We’re sitting at 998 members, so it won’t be long before r/LiuYuNing reaches its first 1,000.

The only problem? We probably won’t know who Member #1000 is.

If you happen to click Join while we’re crossing the milestone and catch the counter flipping from 999 to 1,000, come back here and proudly shout “MEEEE!” in the comments.

Think you were #1001? Claim that too! Someone has to kick off the next thousand.

A small note: Reddit no longer shows the exact member count everywhere. If you’re creating a post from Reddit’s home page (where you first choose a community) or viewing r/LiuYuNing in the sidebar of another subreddit, such as r/ChineseDrama, you’ll still see the precise count.

🍀 Unique Flair Just For this Moment

And you know what? Let’s make it a little more fun.
If you joined while we were crossing the 1,000-member milestone, leave a comment and say so! Whether you think you were #1000, #1001, or somewhere in that little wave, we’ll make you a one-time custom user flair if you’d like one to remember the occasion.

We obviously can’t verify exactly who clicked Join first, so it’s all on the honor system. Either way, thank you for helping us reach our first thousand.

Here’s to the next one.

You can watch Laoda Eat Gracefully, which is only nine minutes long, while you wait for our subreddit to achieve 1000 members.

Posted by Facebook 摩登兄弟劉宇寧粉絲交流群 Weixia Qu

Translation:

Watching him eat is so therapeutic. His eating posture is so graceful. His family taught him from a young age not to make noise or open his mouth while eating, and he really does it perfectly. Midway through, he said he'd finish his pie, and the viewers said not to rush, so he immediately asked someone to bring another pie. I thought he was joking, but he was serious! Nine minutes and that's it…

Liu Yuning x Wang Yuwen (Wow the World S2 Skit) — "Exes Encounter After Many Years"

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but I saw this while swiping Douyin awhile ago and thought they both did really well in acting even when it was just a skit (it got me emotional). Added English captions and now here it is.

This seems to be a skit from 地球超新鲜, Wow the World, Season 2.

I'm not sure if this was scripted for them, perhaps someone can find out if it's really freestyle.

EDIT: Based on multiple confirmations, it is indeed improvised on the spot!

Enjoy. :)

Jumpsuit, sunglasses, and a radiant smile ▪️ Three things that definitely suit him ▪️ Another photos from Wow the World Season 2

I am writing this post totally excited because these photos are absolutely wonderful.

They captured Lyn looking so fresh that he could film another Ariel commercial right away.

You can really tell that this kind of variety show and the New Zealand air suit him perfectly.

And the first photo says it all. (Btw, the Studio put this photo last in their post... shakes head in disagreement.). Then comes a series of profile shots from both sides. (...because both of your profiles are perfect. You got it, Ning. Right?) and then just smile, smile and smile.

But seriously... that first photo made me fall in love all over again.

I don't even know how many times anymore.

Just wanna let you know about this “fan war”

On weibo, there is a fight happening with gongjun’s fans based on a short snippet from WOW latest episode. I honestly think they are just having fun playing but fans have taken it out of context & are going extra miles dragging each other. Both Junjun & Ningge posted trying to diffuse the situation. Ningge has also sent a message in fan group asking fans to not fight & there is nothing wrong between him & gongjun. They have discussed privately. hopefully it will die down soon.

Just wanna let you know, in case you get confused about what is happening.

My two cents on this: i think this is just more than a fan war. There are bigger powers behind trying to sabotage both actors & the program. Considering how well Ningge is doing in this cdrama winter, many forces are against him. So, be careful consuming melons/fights & just focus on good things.

One Year Since an Unforgettable Journey Began▪️ Liu Yuning's Concert Tour 2025 刘宇宁的2025巡演 ▪️Looking Back Through LYN Studio's Finale Report • Part 1

July 19, 2026

Exactly one year ago, Lyn descended onto the stage in Shenzhen for the very first time in his 'mothership' to the melody of 'Satellite Lovers' 《人造卫星情人》.

>全域热度奔赴 汇聚「行」的高光时刻
A journey where countless unforgettable moments came together.

The beginning of a journey that would take us through 9 cities (9城)▪️16 shows (16站) ▪️57 outfits.

And every single concert stop was sold out within seconds.

Memories of Shenzhen

As I was looking through the concert photos and rewatching the video that u/TipOpposite5427 mentioned in another post, I was suddenly overwhelmed with emotions.
Do you remember his very first outfit? Dressed in white, with that partial silver 'armor' covering his shoulders and chest. Or those very first dance moves and the chest pumps during 'Fall in Love'? Ah... the nostalgia.
I'm not very good at putting these feelings into words, so I'll simply say: I truly enjoyed every moment of that journey.

The Final Report

And then, I remembered there was one more thing I wanted to share with you - the official final report released by LYN Studio after the concert tour ended.

It was released as three very long images, so I will split it into three separate posts

PART 1️⃣

9 cities (9城)▪️16 shows (16站)

  • Shenzhen July 19 - 20, 2025
  • Wuhan August 2 - 3, 2025
  • Shanghai September 26 - 27, 2025
  • Xian October 25, 2025
  • Beijing November 15 - 16, 2025
  • Dalian December 20, 2025
  • Chengdu January 10 - 11, 2026
  • Hangzhou March 14 - 15, 2026
  • Nanjing April 18 - 19, 2026

57 outfits

5 livestreams

Lyn surprised us with five livestreams: two during the concert and three right after that.
First one was July 20, 2025 and the second one was on August 3, 2025 when Lyn sang the song ‘Looking for you’.

‘After party’ livestreams

Awards

  • 获得微博音乐盛典 年度推荐演唱会 Weibo Music Awards – Recommended Concert Tour of the Year
  • 《星辰与共》获得微博音乐盛典 年度推荐歌曲 "Together with the Stars" received the Weibo Music Award for Recommended Song of the Year.

Some highlights

  • 41.5+ billion Weibo topic views
  • 1.38+ billion discussions and interactions
  • 2.4+ million new followers
  • 4.835+ million ticket registrations across Damai, Fenyan, and Maoyan (ticket sales platforms)

Weibo Entertainment Rankings and Hot Search

Throughout the tour, countless concert moments repeatedly made their way onto Weibo Hot Search (微博热搜榜) and the Weibo Entertainment Rankings (微博文娱榜) - from unforgettable memories, performances to funny moments. For example:

🔚 And that's all for Part 1.

The first part focused on basic information and Weibo statistics.
In Part 2, we'll take a look at the tour's presence on Douyin and Xiaohongshu (XHS). Finally, Part 3 will cover the various fan challenges organized by the Studio throughout the tour, along with interactive advertising campaigns and concert videos.

At first glance, it may seem like nothing more than a collection of numbers and statistics. In reality, it's a testament to just how much impact this concert tour had and how many people it reached.

Major Ning Boweibu of the Longdong Army, Modern Brother Liu Yuning, sounds the call to battle. For the people, he will fight with everything he's got!

Luckily, we have our own post with fan photos and video of this outfit, because this time LYN Studio didn’t share much (only 3 photos and 1 video - will be in another post later). So I’m adding some photos from Weibo the Truth 开始推理吧 as well.

And this happens to be the winning outfit in our poll.

And once again, I won’t write much about it. I’ll let your earlier comments speak for themselves. :-)

  • My ❤️ can't!! I'm ready to explode 💥ning ge pls pls another period drama 🙏🏻
  • Yesterday, he was a heavenly creature in blue and white hanfu. Today, he is a demon lord in red and black hanfu. I will take both, please!

I swear everything time he wears black or dark red it's a whole experience of a visual, he just looks otherworldly and together just oooof...knockout punch of a visual just nope, brain is offline please leave a message after the beep......beep 🤣
  • My God, he looks so stunning in the video! 😍 The way he’s styled totally gives me Ning Yuanzhou vibes.
  • It’s been awhile since I fawned over LYN and this brought me back, thank you
  • Tooooo handsome for his own good 🤭❤️❤️❤️
  • The ribbons 🎗️🎗️🎗️🎗️❤️
  • He seriously makes himself look like the perfect gift to unwrap. 🫠🤩
  • Can someone trap him in Hengdian again to play the role of another violent, brooding, misunderstood general? 🙏
  • Omg he looks amazing ❤️🖤❤️🖤 he is extremely handsome and beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
  • Red it’s his color ! Stunning !
  • Totally feel like he’s a candy to be unwrapped.

Looking Back One Year — The Week Liu Yu Ning Released 刘宇宁的

Apparently Reddit’s recent changes no longer let us repost content from the same subreddit, so I’m linking the original instead as a link post and curious to see how this turns out once posted.

I actually went looking for it after seeing HJ’s post marking one year since the 2025 concert tour kicked off. That reminded me I’d made this update on the day 《刘宇宁的》 was released, so I went back to reread it.

I’d forgotten how much was happening at once. The album release, the countdown to Shenzhen, rehearsal clips, Yu Ning talking about getting his stamina back after six years without touring, Dai Mi stealing attention whenever she appeared… it was such a fun time to be following everything.

One part did make me chuckle. In the update I wrote that the album had six tracks. At the time, that was all we knew (well, we have also always known that he’s full of surprises).

Looking back now, it’s funny because 《刘宇宁的》 is apparently the album that refuses to end. Every so often Yu Ning drops another song, and suddenly we’re all excited again. I don’t know about you, but I think we’ve been incredibly lucky.
Every new release has felt like an unexpected bonus.

I also enjoyed rereading the section where I looked at one of Yu Ning’s pearls of wisdom:

“In any given situation, know where to place yourself. Never elevate yourself too highly. Others may hold you in high esteem, but you must not raise yourself above others.”

I remember spending far longer than planned writing about why that carries so much more meaning in Chinese than it does in English.

Anyway, for anyone who feels like looking back, the original post should be linked to this one.

Yours,
NoRecipe

Ning and his plush animals.

We are aware that he struggles to keep his hands still; when he doesn't have his beads to play with, he finds other objects to work with.

These are old clips from his younger days.. I'm not sure what he was thinking with the unicorn, or banging the bear and blue one against each other; it was a bit rough play. When Daimi watches him playing with Mickey and the teddy, I'm sure she gets jealous; if I were her, I certainly would.

What annoying habit?!

LYN claimed that he has an annoying habit, but I find his facial expressions—particularly when he blinks a bit and scrunches up his nose—to be so cute.

What additional expressions of his do you find appealing? His gaze, which captivates me and leaves me defenseless, is undoubtedly my favorite. Then there are times when he's emotional and in tears, or when he's shy. To be honest, I don't think there's one I don't like..

Throwback Thursday — Liu Yu Ning’s “Someone Like Me” (像我这样的人) | Singer 2019

I don’t actually need a reason to listen to this performance.

Truth be told, I rarely go more than a day or two without it. And if I do, I inevitably find myself putting it on repeat to make up for lost time.
I don’t know when exactly that became a thing. Somewhere over the years, Someone Like Me quietly stopped being just another song I loved. It became one of those rare pieces of music that somehow feels necessary.

Earlier today, HJ happened to post the link in another thread after I had mentioned it among my favourite Liu Yu Ning songs. I smiled, clicked it — as though I hadn’t listened to it countless times already — and before the first verse had even begun, just hearing the violins and knowing what’s coming, there I was again with tears in my eyes as he sang the first verse. Because I know the song. Because it is so special.

You’d think that after hearing the same performance so many times, it would lose some of its power.
It never has.

I can never get over this performance… It will probably remain my number one forever.

I truly, truly love so many of Liu Yu Ning’s songs. Some more than others, of course, but there are many that mean a great deal to me. Yet this performance occupies a place entirely of its own.

Every time I come back to it, it reaches exactly the same place in my heart, and I still struggle to explain why.
Part of the answer is the song itself.
Mao Buyi (毛不易) wrote something incredibly special. The lyrics are among the most beautiful I have ever come across, not because they try to impress, but because they leave so much room for the listener.

Sometimes I hear them as one person quietly speaking about themselves.
“Someone as outstanding as me…”
“Someone as smart as me…”
“Someone as lost as me…”
“Someone as ordinary as me…”
As though each verse peels away another layer until all that remains is honesty.

But then, on another listen, I hear something completely different.
Maybe every “someone like me” is actually “someone like us.”
Maybe these aren’t the contradictions of one person at all, but of humanity itself. We all know what it is to feel capable one day and completely lost the next. To believe we’re different, yet painfully ordinary. To hope. To fail. To love. To carry scars that nobody else can see.

Both readings make perfect sense to me.
And I suspect there are many more.
That, to me, is the mark of truly great writing. Mao Buyi doesn’t tell us exactly what to think. He leaves enough space for every listener to find themselves somewhere inside the song.

And then Liu Yu Ning sings those words.
This is where the performance becomes something I can’t quite explain.
People often ask what makes him such an exceptional singer.
For me, it has never been about having a beautiful voice, although he certainly does.
It is that he has a unique gift for living the emotion of a song.
Not simply understanding it.
Not simply expressing it.
Living it.

Whether the emotions belong to his own experiences, to his imagination, to his empathy as an artist, or somewhere else entirely, I have no way of knowing, nor do I want to pretend that I do.
What I do know is how he makes me feel.
There are verses in this performance where the emotion is blazing. It doesn’t feel restrained in the slightest. It feels as though he lets everything go.

Yet somehow, every note remains exactly where it should be. The emotion never overwhelms the music, and the music never diminishes the emotion. They become one.
It cuts straight through me.
Every single time.

Sometimes I catch myself noticing parallels between parts of the lyrics and pieces of Liu Yu Ning’s own journey. Whether those parallels were ever in his mind while preparing this performance, I couldn’t possibly know. That’s simply where my own thoughts go as someone who has followed him for years. Perhaps they’re there. Perhaps they’re not.

It doesn’t really matter.
Because once he starts singing, I stop analysing.
I stop thinking about technique.
I stop thinking about breath support, phrasing, resonance or live vocals.
I simply feel.

Very, very few singers have ever done that to me.
So as I said, all it took was HJ sharing the link.
One click.
A few violin and piano notes.
And before I knew it, I was crying all over again.
Seven years later, nothing has changed
It is still the one Liu Yu Ning performance that remains completely undefeated for me.

If you’ve seen this performance before, what does Someone Like Me mean to you?
And if you haven’t, I hope you’ll give yourself four minutes, put on a pair of headphones, and simply listen.

You see, you shouldn’t let me write and put my heart out there. Then this happens…

Yours,
NoRecipe

When Shouting "Take It Off!" Actually Worked ▪️ Back in Shenzhen ▪️Fan Photos

It looks like today is turning into a bit of a trip down memory lane, especially when it comes to Lyn's songs. So let me continue with that theme. At least through these photos, we'll go back to the Shenzhen concert and one particular moment when, as the title already suggests, the request "Take it off!" actually worked for once.

And also because this outfit deserves to be seen from so many different angles.

The photos were taken by 羊卷儿羊 - one of Lyn's fan photographers, who captured this very moment and put it together into a Weibo post - the photos flow together so beautifully that it almost feels like a photo story.

By the way... this outfit was absolutely incredible. I think the reason is pretty obvious.

So as my reaction to this collection of photos, I'll simply use the words that I think most of us say at least once (a day), right u/No-Recipe-7653😉.

>Can he stop being so freaking sexy?
How are we supposed to live?!

Yours, HJ!

What's your current Top 3 of Lyn's songs? Which song definitely keeps your REPLAY button busy? 🎧Discussion

I listen to Lyn's songs every morning on my way to work (quite a habit actually).

And I can also listen to the same song of his over and over again. (OP's note: One would think I know the lyrics by now... but apparently learning of foreign languages aren't clearly my strongest ability. 😉)

And of course, I listen to them during the day whenever I have the chance too - especially in the evening while I'm drawing. (OP's note: I used to have his dramas playing in the background instead, but how much drawing do you think I actually got done? For example during those Prisoner of Beauty scenes showing the importance of regular bathing as part of good hygiene. Let's just say - I am more productive while listening to the songs. 😄)

Anyway, I simply thought of a discussion topic, because I'm curious how you guys are doing with listening to his songs.

So, I go first and my answer is...

For quite a while now, these three songs have been my morning holy trinity:

And my absolute favorite? Looking for You (寻一个你) from Love Between Fairy and Devil. Anytime, anywhere, and in any performance.

How about you? :-)

Have a happy day!
