I followed a tutorial from Merely.wufeii on YouTube. Of course I did familiarize myself with simpler things like head z rotations. I think I did reasonably well for using the free version and the fact that this is my first time rigging anything. Open to reasonable feedback.
Model(PooPoo) is also made by Merely.wufeii
Can I get some ideas, I feel like missing something.
I'm using the free version of live 2d btw
Hello, I am making a model and it has horns, and I am completly lost on how to cut them off for the rigging, since they would like to do more of something that could be 3d.
someone could help ?

This is the first model I've rigged in a while (I've rigged 2 others in the past, but those were quite a while ago.) I've run into an issue where I can't really get this eyelid to close the way I would want it to, since The only parts of the warp deformer that seem to have any effect on it are the corners.
Im sure there's probably something I'm doing wrong, but i can't seem to figure it out, so some help would be greatly appreciated. :3
I've seen tutorials saying "Hair X" or "Hair Y" but on my parameters, I see "Hair Move Front", "Hair Move Side" and "Hair Move Back" (Free version and these came as the standard.). What do they mean?

After rigging the body, it started jumping like this. Usually, this “jump” happens very rarely and literally lasts for a second, but this time it lagged so badly that I was able to record it.
I tried changing the output to Position X, Angle X, and Body X, and I also changed the Scale, but nothing helped. When I adjust the parameters manually, this never happens.
And the problem isn’t that I’m moving the mouse too far either, because I have exactly the same issue on another model. It happens very rarely on that model, and it even happens in VTube Studio when my face is being tracked.
With this particular model, it usually only happened to the lower part of the body (the Hips parameter, and all the angles are synthesized). But in the video, the entire body jumps, which is the first time that has happened.
I honestly have no idea what to do, and I can’t find anything about this problem. The only advice I found was to reduce the Scale, but that doesn’t help. I'm a complete zero in physics, so I really hope you can help me!
this was a free rigup for a member of the community, just as a project for fun to hone my skills. very happy with how she came out! obviously the body angles are very very rudimentary, but her face is quite expressive. i love vbridger to death.
this is my second 'completed' model, the first also being a vbridger model (with my own art) for a vtuber who has not debuted yet. i will post that model here once they do! i'm an expressiveness > prettiness vtuber enjoyer so i really like these simpler characters where you can really push the angles and facial animations. in hindsight i could have pushed her face angles a bit more, particularly in the y direction, but ah well 😅
i highly, highly recommend PiPu Production's Live2D series even if you are not rigging for vBridger. She is the creator of vBridger and her organizational tips really helped when i was first starting to rig.
I apologize for keeping everything so unorganised haha this was a test run and I just started rigging yesterday!
my parameters that are named “R Eyes X” & “R Eyes Y” were originally for the right eye only but now I have both eyes on X and Y. I then synthesised the corners.
For some reason whenever I go to the physics setting my eyes never move like they did when I was rigging them. They move left and right and kinda diagonally but I want them to follow my cursor. Idk what I did wrong so I’d definitely appreciate some answers.. Thank you!
I think sometime last year, I saw a Twitter post saying it was too much to cut the leg into three parts. Upper leg, lower leg, and knee on top. That's how I did it, I thought it made sense so I can move the knee around and create perspective for the leg by manipulating the lower leg alone. But the post said the leg should all just be one cut.
So know I'm cutting the fingers and three are done and I suddenly wonder, am I crazy? Is this the same concept? Should it just be one cut per finger instead of three for every digit?
Thanks lol
I have a reference of my model that I made and I was going to do the rigging myself but I realized I actually don't like what I've drawn and I would want it redesigned i think.
I am unsure whether I should commission someone to remake a reworked new reference sheet based on my design for whoever I com art+rig or if I can expect the artist+rigger to redesign it as they draw it for rigging? Or generally do model artists expect pretty accurate or similar to what I want and I shouldn't expect it to look different to my original art?
If the case is that I need to get a better reference first, should I spend extra on rendering the character sheet or can I rely on the live2d artist to do a good job at that.
Only upper body, already drawn and cut out.
The gif came out really bad (for some reason??) but i think it shows the idea somewhat decently.
What would the expected cost of rigging be?
I'm not asking for a commission, just the numbers. Thanks in advance! ^ .^
Hello! I have been rigging models for a while now but I have had this question forever and cant seem to find an answer for it. When creating specific mouth shapes the inner mouth is visible. My usual fix to this is adjusting the size and shape of the mouth wall (pink part) BUT this has given me a few issues when trying to rig more expressive mouths. There's usually a bit peeking through or something.
I was wondering what others do/did to either remedy this or if its a specific setup to get it not do this.
I am currently using glue on the lip line and the lip skin to have more seamlessness.
