Dune 3 tickets on sale?

There is loads of talk online about Dune Part Three IMAX 70MM tickets on sale globally August 18 9am PST (5pm in UK). It’s unclear whether it includes the UK and the BFI IMAX or not. Usually BFI IMAX’s website does say when tickets will be on sale before they’re on sale, and they don’t say that for Dune Part Three tomorrow. There’s also talk about there being early screenings for the film from December 14 exclusively in IMAX. Again, it’s unclear whether it includes the UK and the BFI or not. If anyone could help, I’d be very grateful. Thank you!

When will the Odyssey return back to the BFI imax?

I went to the BFI imax for the first time to watch the odyssey and it was amazing (as most would know all the screening is mostly booked out). So I was wondering when they will screen the odyssey at BFI imax again, any information would be great.

Advice on seats at BfI

I have the opportunity to get tickers for H18-19 or M23-24.

What is the better location? M is premium seats vs. H being standard seats.

Is M too far away from center?
Is H too close?

This is for the Odyssey.

Thanks.

Advice related to the Garden Cinema in Covent Garden

My apologies if this is not the right sub but I couldn’t find any other more fitting subs.

The Garden Cinema is playing a restored Hong Kong film called Centre Stage (1999) that I’m hoping to bring my wife to see because she loves Maggie Cheung but the only tickets left are in the second row Row B in Screen 1.

Has any good people here been to that screen and can indicate whether this is a neck breaking experience or is there a decent amount of distance? My wife isn’t a cinephile so I don’t want her to have to “suffer” through a film ha

Thanks!

Filmmaking London networking event pubs and conversations.

Hello everybody — just wanted to let you know I'm hosting a networking and film meetup for fellow creatives in London.

I know it can be very hard to break into the filmmaking industry, whether you're coming at it from pre-production, production, or post. I thought it'd be a great idea for us to come together, have a couple of pints, and see what kind of connections we can make and whether there are any other like-minded filmmakers we can get to know.

The meetup will be at The Latymers, 157 Hammersmith Rd, London W6 8BS, on Friday 14th August at 6:30pm.

This is for new filmmakers wanting to break into the industry, professional filmmakers looking to switch departments, or anyone just after like-minded people to talk to.

I've attached a Google Form below — please fill it out so I know who's coming. That way I can make the right table reservations and any other arrangements, and it also helps me learn a bit about everyone beforehand so I can help facilitate introductions on the night.
