Silence from charities (LM)

So I’ve applied to five charities in total, I got rejected from one. I’ve heard nothing for the other four, and one of them even told me that they would get back to everyone by 14. August, and I still didn’t hear anything?

I understand that it’s possible to not hear from some, but being ghosted by four charities?

I’m curious is anyone has heard back from charities or anyone in the same boat as me?

It would be incredible to run London marathon and my dream marathon, I understand that there’s a lot of competition around charity places but at this point I would just like to know.

Half marathon no training

So I made this drunken bet with my mates that I could run a half marathon (GNR) in sub 1 hour 45 without any training. Well it turns out I got a place next month and need to put my money where my mouth is. How achievable do people think tho actually is?
Context about me:
34, male, athletic build, generally fit from a lot of hill walking and weight lifting. However Ive never been a runnner and never ran this sort of distance so don’t know how I’ll get on

Help! What running gear should I bring to London?

Hi everyone,

I am an Indian student who is relocating to London for my Masters. I will be living in Camden. I have been running for the past two years and it has become an essential part of my life. I am obviously very nervous about adjusting to the colder weather, especially running there. So help a sister out,

  1. What are some essential running gear I should bring from India and what should I buy from the UK ?

  2. Any nice trails to suggest for a new runner in the city?

I would appreciate any and all insights. Thanks folxs!

Selling Big Half (6th Sep) and Shoreditch Half (20th Sep) Places

I'm injured so won't be able able to run either race.

Would prefer a female, 40s, around sub 2-2.5hrs, living in London as it would be a face to face transaction once I receive the bibs.

DM if interested

TCS London Marathon 2027 Charity Place - National Autistic Society

Hi All,

I am running next year’s TCS London Marathon for the National Autistic Society. A brilliant charity helping many in need.

Any contribution big or small is much appreciated and will help me hit my target 🙂

This is the biggest mental and physical challenge I’ve ever taken on and I’m excited to get training kick started and seeing this through to help the charity but also prove to myself that I can do it (even if my body will absolutely hate me afterwards 🤣)
