Wembley to central London after concert

I will be visiting London for the very first time soon for a concert at Wembley Stadium (I know, big shame I've never been before).

Instead of dealing with the massive post-concert crowds on the Tube, I am thinking about running from Wembley Stadium all the way to central London (using Hyde Park as a general reference point). I think a night urban run would be a super nice experience!

Since I don't know the city at all, I wanted to ask you:

  1. Is this actually doable late at night after a concert?
  2. Which areas/streets are safe to cross during the night?
  3. Are there any specific areas or neighborhoods I should absolutely avoid along that route at that time?

I am a regular runner but safety is my top priority, especially being unfamiliar with the city. Any advice on route planning or logistics would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

London Landmarks Half - your experience!

I have very luckily got a ballot place for the London Landmarks half Which I am very happy about after not managing to get a spot for Hackney Half (anyone selling, let me know!!)

I have no idea if this is a good race though! I’ve ran the royal parks half and loved it. What was your experience of this half? Did you enjoy it?

Buying/transferring a bib

Hi guys, I see a lot of posts in regards to people selling their bibs. Do you usually meet in person to do this? I tried to get a transfer for a bib for the shoreditch half but it looks like I got scammed (this is on the Facebook London running page). I know it's reckless of me and I should have been more careful(i asked for a screenshot of the the email they received from Saucony etc). Just wanted to know how you guys do it.

West London run club recommendations

Hi all, I (28F) live out in west London and am looking for recommendations for run clubs maybe in Hyde park / surrounding area. I am trying to work on being more social so would really appreciate recommendations for people around my age and super friendly group, also chill pace.

It is odd but I have found that it’s difficult to engage with other runners while running solo. Even if I smile or say hi to another woman gosh they act like I don’t exist and ignore me! Don’t know why but it’s made me quite nervous how stand offish people can be. 😅

I spent 4 months building a free running/cycling coach that reads your Strava and actually adapts your plan (70 users in!)

Hope you find it useful / fun to try!

openpacemaker.com - A specialised telegram chatbot that is trained to be your running or cycling coach (not another data dashboard)

We already have 70 active users and I'm doing all I can to keep it free, Goal of it is to bridge the gap between paid coaches and generic training plans out there.

Give it a go - it's completely secure and takes 1 minute to start talking to your coach.

PS. I'm London based if you wanted to go for a run in Central to help out / share feedback (if you liked it!)

Shoreditch Half Marathon

I’m afraid I need to sell on my entry for the (sold out) Shoreditch Half Marathon. Was looking forward to it and training was underway but the event now clashes with a family occasion I need to attend. If you would like to purchase the entry please message me and I will transfer my bib on to you! Same organisers as the Hackney Half so it’s meant to be a good one
