Hey everyone!

Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation or might have some advice.

My friend and I were hoping to run the Manchester Marathon together in 2027, but because we were applying to universities in the UK, we weren't sure what our plans would look like and missed the chance to enter.

2027 might also be our last chance to do something like this together before life takes us in different directions, so we're really hoping there's still a way to make it happen.

We've looked into charity places and tour packages, but unfortunately, those aren't financially realistic options for us at the moment.

I was wondering if anyone knows whether places ever become available through cancellations, withdrawals, waiting lists, or any other official route? Has anyone actually managed to secure a place after general entries sold out?

Not looking to do anything outside the official rules - just hoping there's another option we might have missed!

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who's been through this or has any advice.

If you've already prepared for one, I'd really appreciate it if you could share:

• Any reading materials, notes, or resources you found helpful.
• The types of lending platform or product management questions that were asked.
• Any tips on what to focus on during preparation.

I'd also be grateful if someone with a similar background would be willing to do a mock interview with me. My interview is scheduled for Monday, 27th July, so even a 30–45 minute session over the weekend would be incredibly helpful.

From what I understand, the interview will be focused primarily on lending platform concepts, rather than general product management.

A close friend of mine is a huge admirer of the incredible work being done at CERN and dreams of being part of it one day. For her birthday this year, I'd love to surprise her with some official CERN merchandise.
