Graffiti Art Battle Entries @ SkyHigh LA

Figured I’d share these since they don’t get seen much from the street. Plus cars are usually blocking them too.

I pulled up and was lucky no one was there, so I took advantage.

*Last shot is their shop mural, not an entry.

Old PhotoFrom 1960s of 1300 Block 38 Place

Does anyone have any old photos you are willing to share of the 1300 block of 38 Place (now Rolland Curtis Place), this near Exposition Park area. Preferably around the early 1960s. Thanks.

Murals and views from biking all of LA

I’ve been working for the last year and a half on a project to bike every mile of street in LA. I stop and take pictures of any good sights and murals that I find, and I’m nearing the 75% mark so I’ve collected quite a variety at this point. This post is a grab bag from the last few months. Figured people here might enjoy :) (and if y’all do there’s plenty more 😄).

Inherited a camera from my grandma

My grandma recently passed at the age of 99. She was a creative powerhouse—photography her specialty. I held on to her Olympus OM-4 and have been taking it on adventures around the city, grateful to still be seeing the world through her lens.

Over a long weekend I went around Olvera St., Pershing Square, the Central Library, the UCLA sculpture garden, Hermosa Beach, Zuma Beach (ok that was the weekend before), Chinatown, and Grand Central Station
