Developer’s Note - Introducing Brawl Remake, Elemental Dungeon and May Development Plans
https://i.redd.it/68cizy05ae2h1.gif
Greetings, Swordbringers!
This is the Lost Sword development team.
Today, we would first like to address the various opinions and concerns that Swordbringers have shared with us following the recent updates.
In the process of introducing new content and systems, we were unable to fully deliver the fun we intended, and some content also ended up feeling like an ongoing burden for Swordbringers due to its difficulty and structure.
We take the disappointment and inconvenience expressed by Swordbringers who have taken their valuable time to play the game seriously.
The feedback sent to us is not simply being reviewed, but is being continuously examined so that it can be reflected in actual improvement directions and update plans.
In this Developer's Note, we will share the improvements currently being prepared based on the suggestions from Swordbringers, along with the new content, costumes, and quality-of-life improvements planned for the second May update.
>Brawl Remake
The remade version of Brawl, which was added in the past update and quickly decided to undergo a major revamp, is scheduled to be added in the second May update.
While the previous Brawl focused on strategy and competition, the remade Brawl has been restructured overall to be lighter and easier to enjoy with less pressure.
📌 Season Structure and Progression
Brawl will be held on a seasonal basis, with each season consisting of 2 cycles.
Each cycle will run from Monday to Saturday, while Sunday will serve as a waiting period for settlement and preparation for the next cycle.
After the season ends, there will be a 2-week off-season period before a new season begins.
Each user can freely participate in up to 3 battles per cycle, allowing Swordbringers to enjoy the content at any time during the cycle period without pressure.
📌 Island Exploration
Guild members can attack islands connected to their base, and exploration will be completed once the target number of monsters set for each island has been defeated.
Once an island’s exploration is completed, it can no longer be attacked, and connected islands will become available for attack.
Island exploration in this version of Brawl has been changed from a conquest competition between Guilds to a shared progression structure.
Regardless of which Guild completes an island’s exploration, that status will be shared across the entire battlefield, and multiple Guilds can proceed the exploration of a single island.
In addition, once all islands except the central island have been fully explored, the central island will open, allowing remaining battle attempts to be used freely.
📌 Guild Rankings and Rewards
Guild rankings will be updated in real time based on the total number of monsters defeated during the cycle.
Guild Points will be obtained based on the rankings at the end of each cycle, and Guild tiers will change accordingly.
Cycle rewards will be distributed based on the final tier achieved at the end of the cycle.
All Guilds will start each season at Silver tier, and tiers will gradually increase based on each cycle’s results.
In Brawl, various rewards can be obtained in addition to cycle rewards, including Season Guild ranking rewards and exploration rewards.
Season Guild ranking rewards will be distributed based on rankings calculated from the total number of monsters defeated by all Guilds that participated in Brawl during the season.
Exploration rewards will also be distributed after each cycle ends based on exploration progress.
The new Brawl has been improved to reduce the competitive pressure and repetitive fatigue, while making it easier to participate in.
We will continue working to provide content that Swordbringers can enjoy more comfortably while still feeling a steady sense of growth.
>Elemental Dungeons (Placeholder Name)
Elemental Dungeons, which can be entered a limited number of times each day and only by characters of specific elements, are scheduled to be added.
Elemental Dungeons are content that can be entered a limited number of times each day, with dungeons limited to specific element characters rotating by day of the week.
Elemental Dungeons consist of the following 7 elements.
- Fire
- Nature
- Radiance
- Chaos
- Shock
- Frost
- Holy
Each dungeon is structured so that Swordbringers challenge it using only characters of the corresponding element, and rather than focusing on ranking competition, it is designed around climbing floors and obtaining rewards by utilizing the characters in possession and their growth status.
Through floor rewards and various Epic Missions, you will be able to obtain various growth resources such as Training Stones and Gold, and by meeting special conditions, Training Reset Tickets can also be obtained.
As we have recently received many opinions regarding the burden of growth resources and Training, we are preparing Elemental Dungeons so that they do not simply become another daily task, but instead serve as content where Swordbringers can make broader use of the characters in possession and secure the necessary resources more steadily.
We hope this content will provide a new place to use specific element characters that Swordbringers have already developed, while also giving Swordbringers with less-developed element characters a new growth goal to work toward.
We are also fully aware of the current imbalance between character elements.
To help prevent inconvenience when using Elemental Dungeons due to a lack of characters of certain elements, we will take element balance into consideration when introducing new characters in future updates.
P.S. The next new character scheduled for release is being prepared as a Shock-element character.
>Boss Raid & Avalon Difficulty Adjustments
Following the previous update, which reduced certain Boss' Critical Hit Chance and eased certain mechanics, we also plan to remove Vivien’s Root mechanic.
The Root mechanic was designed as an element that creates variables during battle, but in actual play, it has been contributing significantly to frustration and failed attempts.
In addition, Avalon’s overall balance will also be adjusted.
Rather than simply lowering the difficulty, we are readjusting difficulty by section and the sense of growth progression so that Swordbringers can feel, “If I get a bit stronger, I can overcome this.”
Based on the feedback sent by Swordbringers, we will continue reducing elements that feel unreasonable while maintaining the fun of taking on a challenge.
>Snowcap Mountain 10F
Snowcap Mountain 10F is scheduled to be added in the second May update.
Snowcap Mountain is a new regional dungeon that opens after clearing Abyss 100F, and is being prepared to provide new environments, bosses, and battle experiences different from existing regions.
A new boss, Yeti, will appear on 10F with the following mechanics.
- High HP
- High damage reduction
- Applies long-duration Freeze after a certain number of successful hits
We will do our best to ensure that the new Snow Mountain region feels like another growth goal and a new adventure area for Swordbringers.
>Katrin Balance Adjustment and New Costume
The balance of Katrin, the Queen of Isiel, will be adjusted, and the new costume “Permitted Warmth” is scheduled to be added.

The Permitted Warmth costume is being prepared so that Swordbringers can experience a different, more girlish charm from Katrin, who usually has a cold atmosphere.
Along with bringing out the charm of Katrin’s new costume, her balance adjustment is also being prepared to improve her usability in actual battles, and both are scheduled to be available in the second May update.
>Morgan le Fay Lingerie Costume
The new Morgan le Fay costume selected through the ‘Vote for Your Free Costume!’ event is scheduled to be distributed, which can be purchased for 1 Gold.
Unlike Morgan le Fay’s existing costume, this costume was designed with an emphasis on her rear silhouette.
As this costume was directly selected by Swordbringers through the event, we have prepared it to make it an even more meaningful reward.
Check out the subtle movement beneath the hips when lifted.
>Eva Memorial Costume Rerun
Eva’s Memorial Costume, which was released last year and received much love, will be returning.
Eva’s Memorial Costume received great interest from many Swordbringers when it was first released, and we have decided to hold this rerun event for Swordbringers coming to enjoy the anniversary.

Eva’s Unfortunate Defeat Animation
The rerun event is scheduled to begin together with the second May update.
>One More Gift! Login Event
To celebrate the month of May, Little Erin has prepared login gifts for Swordbringers.
We will continue improving event structures and reward satisfaction so that the rewards do not feel lacking compared to the time you spend playing the game.
>Gold Login Event for New Swordbringers
Elizabeth’s [Maid’s Gift] event is scheduled to end on May 28.
However, to help new Swordbringers avoid difficulties caused by a lack of Gold during the early growth process, we have prepared a separate Maid’s Gift event.
During the early stages, many growth features unlock at once, which can often make Gold feel insufficient.
We hope this login event helps new Swordbringers progress through the growth flow more comfortably.
>Lobby Background Music Change Feature
A feature that allows you to change the lobby background music directly is scheduled to be added.
Currently, the lobby plays a set background music track, but we are preparing a feature that will allow Swordbringers to select the music they want and customize the lobby atmosphere themselves.
We are developing this feature so that various tracks can be set as background music, including character theme songs added so far and the title song “Song of Flame,” sung by voice actor Kim Bona.
Background Music Change Feature Under Development
As this feature is currently under development, we will introduce it again through a Developer Note once the update date has been confirmed.
>Quality-of-Life Improvements
📌 Guild Level Stat Improvements
The HP stat gained per Guild level will be increased, and a Gold acquisition buff will be added.
This improvement is being prepared so that Guild growth can be reflected more meaningfully in Swordbringers’ actual combat power and survivability.
📌 Guild Member Round Table Level Display
A feature that allows you to check Guild members’ Round Table levels will be added.
This improvement is being prepared so that Swordbringers can more easily check the growth status of Guild members and enjoy the feeling of growing together within the Guild.
>Closing Words
Through the recent suggestions and community feedback, we have once again felt how much interest and expectation Swordbringers have for the game.
At the same time, we deeply recognize that there were areas where we were not able to fully meet those expectations.
We sincerely apologize to Swordbringers who felt disappointed in areas such as content quality, reward satisfaction, difficulty, and convenience.
We will take the feedback you have sent us very deeply, and continue improving each area one by one to move in a better direction.
Although it may be difficult to change every part perfectly all at once, we will show improvements with each update so that Swordbringers can feel that the game is gradually getting better.
We hope this second May update will bring at least some welcome news to Swordbringers.
We sincerely thank all Swordbringers who continue to stay with us and help guide our direction through honest feedback.
We will return with the next Developer’s Note!
