A few years ago, I started collecting Lion King bags. I stopped because I didn’t have money to keep the effort going. Fast forward to today. I still don’t have money but I want to buy bags anyway. This is my current collection. Please show me what I don’t have. Super bonus if you can tell me if and where they are being sold.

I asked a while back if anyone had one for sale and I got some great responses and suggestions on how to find one. I was blessed with a medical insurance refund so I had a little extra cash and I gave in to a scalper that was willing to come down a fair amount with an eBay coupon I had and I don't feel so bad.

I just got this Disney Princess Books mini backpack from Amazon and I noticed the zipper pull placements are off. Everything else seems normal. Just a little pushed in the front from shipping. On all of the pictures I’ve seen the happily ever after hardware is not on the front zipper but on the top zipper.
I love this Ariel backpack from Hot Topic (first pic) but I felt it could use a little “glow up”. I added some cute charms and gemstones to it ☺️
Some of you may remember a post I made here a while back about Bag Dragon, a project I started because I wanted a better way to catalog and manage my own bag collection.
I received some really helpful feedback from this community after that post, and I've been working on it pretty relentlessly since then.
It's changed quite a bit, so I wanted to share an update.
I've been building a searchable database of collectible bags, and the catalog is completely free to use.
There are now two ways to use it:

📱 On iPhone/iPad: through the free Bag Dragon app
You don't need to purchase anything or have the Desktop software to browse and search the catalog.
The goal is to create a genuinely useful resource where collectors can search and browse bags by things like character/theme, franchise, brand, bag type, exclusives, and keywords, with individual pages containing photos and information about each bag.
I've spent a ridiculous amount of time identifying bags, organizing characters and franchises, cleaning up information, and adding older releases — and I'm still adding to it constantly.
So even if you have zero interest in using Bag Dragon to manage your collection, the catalog is there for you to use for free.
Use it to identify a bag, research something you're considering, hunt for bags from a particular character or franchise, or just fall down the rabbit hole looking at bags you didn't know existed. 😂
This is probably the biggest change since my previous post.
I now have a Bag Dragon mobile companion app, and the iOS version is officially available on the App Store.
The catalog portion of the app is free, so you can essentially carry the Bag Dragon Catalog around in your pocket.
That's something I've wanted since I started this project.
If I'm at a store, convention, thrift shop, live sale, etc., I want to be able to pull out my phone and quickly look up a bag instead of trying to remember what it was called or who made it.

Android is built too.
It's currently submitted to Google Play and I'm waiting for Google to finish the approval process.
Assuming everything goes as planned, Android users will have access to the same free catalog once Google signs off on the release.
The website has probably changed just as much as the apps since my original post.
BagDragon.com now hosts the free public catalog, individual bag pages, powerful search and filtering tools, information about the project, downloads, tutorials, and a Help Center.
You don't have to install anything to use the catalog.
Just go to https://bagdragon.com and start searching.
Bag Dragon actually started as a Desktop collection manager because my own collection had reached the point where I wanted something more purpose-built than a spreadsheet.
That side of the project has continued growing too.
There are now Windows and Mac versions, and I've put a lot of work into making the releases more polished. The current Windows release is digitally signed, and the Mac release is signed and notarized by Apple.
Desktop is where the more advanced collection-management side of Bag Dragon lives, while the website and mobile app make the catalog much easier to access wherever you are.
Another major project since my original post has been Dragon Sync.
The long-term idea isn't to have a random website, Desktop program, and phone app that happen to share the same name.
I'm trying to build them as one connected ecosystem:

🖥️ Desktop — deeper collection-management tools
🔄 Dragon Sync — connects your collection between them
There's still plenty I want to build, but this is finally starting to resemble the thing I had in my head when I started.
The catalog has grown tremendously, but collectible bags are a MUCH bigger rabbit hole than I realized when I started this. 😂
There are old releases, obscure exclusives, regional releases, convention bags, collaborations, bags with almost no information left online, and probably entire groups of bags I haven't discovered yet.
So I'd genuinely love for collectors here to try the free catalog and try to break it.
Search for your favorite character.
Search for something obscure.
See if I've categorized something incorrectly.
And especially — see if you own something that isn't in there.
If something is missing or wrong, I'd like to know. That's how I can keep making the database better.

I knew that my Hercules bag was coming today, but I was totally surprised that my Book of the Living bag came in!!! I’m ready for the movie to come out 😁😁😁
Not sure if anyone has successfully remedied bad peeling on a Loungefly bag before but I figured I'd try lol. I realized a few weekends ago that my Sylvanas Loungefly was peeling, and badly. I used it a month prior and it was completely fine but now suddenly it's peeling off in huge chunks. Both peels shown in the pictures are double the size and they've increased in quantity as well. There's peels on the straps, the front, the bottom, the edges. I don't think there's a panel on this bag left that doesn't have a peel of some kind.
This is an older Loungefly from like 2019 I think? So I'm sure it's just from age, but does anyone know if there's any way to reverse the damage and prevent future damage? This bag is very expensive to re-purchase and I really love it so I don't want to have to buy a new one.
Any help would be appreciated! Also, (if it isn't fixable) if anyone has any upcycle ideas for it please let me know that as well! I'm down to get crafty if it means I can repurpose this.

I wanted to buy the Beauty and the Beast Belle bag that was exclusive to D23. The drop happened about 20 minutes ago. I asked my daughter to log in to because I was afraid it would sell out. She got it first so I stopped—or I thought I did. I just checked my account and two orders went through. I guess I can sell one later or give as a gift.
I have been looking for a purse/satchel/tote with an image i like and the size/ features i like for years. My current purse is old and falling apart but I like the size/features about it all but I would add a cross body strap. So I am going to try and make my own. What is the best fabric to use as the outer part of the bag that would feel like a loungefly bag and what material closely resemles the lining? Also, how do i transfer an image onto the outer material before I sew it?

I love it! My only complaint is that the zipper doesn't extend down the entire side so you can't see inside very well. (See pic 2)

I'll have to see how the straps work out. The straps on my Scooby-Doo Loungefly slip off my shoulders all the time regardless of how much I tighten them. But the straps on this one are a little thicker so I hope that helps them stay on.
For anyone that's curious, YES, there are pockets on the inside. One with a zipper and one without. The website didn't mention inside pockets when I ordered.
Now, if only I could get my hands on the Book of the Dead without paying a small fortune.
Anybody else up late keeping an eye on the results? I entered for the Ramone bag as well Belle and Pooh, under my profile it states I was not selected for Ramone or Pooh but Belle is pending. I also received another pending charge from Loungefly after midnight today so hoping that’s a good sign! Anybody else have updates?
Hallmark has Loungefly backpack ornaments. I had to get Minnie Mouse. They also have Jack Skellington, The Evil Queen from Snow White and Harry Potter. They’re $12.99.
Ok. My closet is full of clothing totes and other things I have no room. I can’t hang my loungeflys. I have about 15 or 20 loungefly backpacks. Has anyone found good under the bed storage or totes that successfully fit multiple loungeflys? Even if they dont fit under the bed… I just don’t want to have a giant stack of totes that only fit 4 in each. Other suggestions welcomed!
Found this boy at Box Lunch today! I’ve only seen the Disney Cruise Pirate Stitch and that’s exclusive to their ships as far as I’m aware, so this was a great find! And you gotta love $10 off!

EDIT: I have found that the bag ultimately DID get produced. It seems I have a late version prototype!
So we have one of these and I knew it would be a good buy on preorder in 2024. Only wore it once and not sure if it will be worn again soon.
What are your thoughts on this bag if you have it or have seen it? I see listings for $1,400! That's wild, but who knows who is paying that. Just seems very rare and impossible to find.
