1. Did he actually like me, or was I just validation for his ego?
The Hanged Man, Nine of Swords, The Devil, Page of Wands, Strength, Five of Swords.
I met this guy while I was out. It felt like he genuinely liked me, but he didn't take any real action (aside from us meeting and him reaching out), and then he just pulled away.
The Devil and Five of Swords point to ego. He enjoys attention and flirting (Page of Wands). But The Hanged Man and Nine of Swords suggest an energy where he essentially blocked himself; he didn't know how or didn't want to take further steps.
Even though Strength and Page of Wands show interest and attraction.
2. Why he behaved like that / why he pulled away:
Eight of Pentacles reversed, Seven of Pentacles, Ace of Wands.
The reversed Eight of Pentacles suggests a lack of investment; he's immature when it comes to effort and gives up when consistency is required. He enjoys the initial excitement but doesn't know how to develop a connection. That was exactly my impression that night: he doesn't know how to build a relationship. Even when he talked to me, he seemed kind of awkward (I assume there was also nervousness), but he said things like "can I ask you something?" seeking my validation, and "I don't know how to do this
Later, when I was waiting for him to come over so we could talk or dance, he just stood a couple of meters away from me, like he didn't know what to do. That honestly annoyed me a bit.
Ace of Wands and Page of Wands show that I definitely caught his attention and he was interested in me. Seven of Pentacles, The Hanged Man, and Nine of Swords suggest stagnation and overthinking; he stayed in his head instead of taking action. He seems like someone who wants connection and attention but pulls back when he needs to move things forward, or who tends to keep things at the level of potential and flirting.
I did attract him, but he didn't have the capacity or courage to turn it into something real.
Btw, I think he might be a leo
