Had this for years and it never disappoints
I found several of these on my property here in central Alabama.
My lilies are blooming and id like to have some of the flowers inside! From what I understand, the bulb absorbs energy from the stem / cane before it goes dormant for the year.
So my question is, if I cut them will it mess with the bulb? Id rather have the bulb survive and make more next year if cutting them means it could impact the bulb negatively.
And 2, if I do cut the stem, how much of it can I cut? (Ill take less if I can, of course. But is there a general rule of thumb thats like, "dont cut past this point"?
The stem / cane is between 5 and 6 feet tall - Casablanca lilies
These 2 red daylilies came from the same seed pod I hybridized. The first is a depper red with a darker eye and the 2nd one is bright orange red.Which of the 2 do you best?
Just bloomed today! I'm so happy by these surprises from the monsoons.
This was my first year growing the Roselily Samantha and she is absolutely gorgeous 😍🌷 They are very fragrant too, my entire house smells amazing! Here are a few shots of the bouquets I made 💐 some of the bouquets include dahlias that I also grow. I planted some Stargazers that didn't make it unfortunately, but I am thrilled these bloomed!
It’s such a treat when these beauties bloom every August
