Recently hired. I was told on holidays at least at our location we have a big dinner catered in for employees to eat on Thanksgiving and Christmas. I’m curious if on our birthdays, the company does anything for an employee like a gift card or coupon for free item or something and so they do anything Christmas gift like gift card or anything
So a few weeks ago I interviewed and was offered a retail shift lead position. I was immediately taken aback by the low starting pay. I’m a supervisor where I’m at currently making $19.50 in VA. I’d take a pay cut still even after negotiating. They settled at $18/hr to bring me on. BUT I have to be willing to transfer to surrounding Loves around me if the need is there. Some of which range anywhere from 29 min away - 1hr away. I’m supposed to call the SM tomorrow to either confirm or deny the offer. Would you all run and just keep looking for something better or is there a silver lining with the company? Thanks everybody!
Edit to add: My current job is incredibly high stress as I manage anywhere up to 56 folks / day counting staff and clients together, and I feel like I’m mentally crumbling as I work with folks with intellectual and physical disabilities. Would Loves put me in the same down hill spiral?
I've been watching how often I've been given the shower credits I'm entitled to when I buy 50 gallons or more of fuel, Love's Travel Stops will often NOT give those credits!
I have no idea if this is intentional or maybe some computer error but, for example, just last night I purchased 120 gallons of fuel at their Jasper Tennessee location and have never been given my shower credit. I had 2 shower credits before fueling and still have 2 shower credits more than 24 hours later.
Same thing happened last week when I bought 65 gallons and the time before that when I purchased 55 gallons.
What a rip off! I think I'm going to release a video on YouTube about this!!!
