The standard core of ER>Lucidity>Navori has too much attack speed, so the damage lacks AD. Black cleaver doesn't give up-front pen yet one of Lucian's playstyles is up-front burst. The solution to these 2 items is Grudge 2nd. It lets you reset your E quickly, while also giving more pen and AD than Cleaver.

To juice up the E resets I've been taking legend haste and transcendence and Joat are options too. I learned the Joat tech from Crownie in his youtube video.

After Grudge I can go crit/Bork. If I need a dps build then I could not build Grudge. Grudge is for the haste build that resets E. It's in my non-conclusive opinion the superior haste build. Grudge lets you chain slow ppl with ult. ER>Lucidity>Grudge. Legend alacrity and Berserkers are viable too.

The only reliable build for this champion to do high consistent dmg is just to skip essence reaver. YOU DONT NEED IT.

Infinity Edge first item is all the dmg you will need to help you snowball the game.

RFC is what you are looking to build after. U know why it’s good on him. Don’t argue with me.

After RFC it’s always good to get your last whisper item 3rd. Make sure it’s a Lord Doms. Idc if they have healing on the enemy team force ur trash mid jungler top support to get anti heal. Ur job is to do dmg.

After Lord doms your going to want to beef up ur AD and survivabilty. Blood thirstier is a great option for this.

After BT u still need another crit item. And guess what? Hexoptics is what ur going to get. Don’t argue with me. Pair that with RFC and u have cait range as Lucian. Just do it.

Lastly get whatever the fuck u need for that game def wise

As a strong laner, Lucian scales hard with early ad. Usually I can do my first back and buy two long swords, but not enough for sheen. Is buying a third long sword worth it for the extra ad and fighting power? Or is it not worth it to delay sheen and ER by a bit.
