Can anyone suggest purchasable (US) options that fit the 8 Ex? I prefer something with a slimmer profile, but at this point am open to anything. My JSaux Legion Go 2 arrived today, and the snug fit is okay but it's super bulky.

​I'm currently playing Crimson Desert on the MSI Claw 8 EX at 35W TDP and wanted to cross-check performance numbers with you guys—specifically without Frame Generation.

​My Settings

​Settings: Medium

​Upscaler: XeSS (Performance mode)

​Frame Generation: OFF

​Result: ~35–45 FPS

Tdp: 35w

​Why I'm asking:

I recently watched a benchmark video where, around the 5:15 mark, the tester was comfortably hitting 70+ FPS (without Frame Gen) according to their displayed settings. I'm nowhere near those numbers despite running at 35W.

What FPS are you getting without FrameGen

Ich habe einen Gaming PC der aber aufgrund von Kindern usw. Nur noch herum steht und nicht genutzt wird. Meiner steht im Wohnzimmer an der Couch und ich könnte da gemütlich zocken wenn mal Zeit ist ( ich spiele nur mit Controller) ....fraglich ob da mal wieder Zeit für ist😅

Nun hab ich mir ne claw 8ai geholt ( polar Tempest für 778€) mit 2 Jahren Garantie.

Ich hatte den Gedanken das ich durch das "mobile" vielleicht mal wieder zum spielen komme .

Nach ein paar Tagen testen bin ich aber irgendwie nicht so komplett überzeugt.

Klar das die claw nicht mit dem PC mithalten halten kann was die Grafik an geht ( was mich auch etwas stört)..

aber ist schon enorm was das kleine Gerät da abliefern kann mit xess. Optiscaler hab ich noch nicht getestet, lediglich opticklick.

Jemand will meinen PC kaufen ( 1100€ ohne Monitor ) und ich Frage mich ob es vielleicht sinnvoll wäre zu verkaufen und beim claw zu bleiben. Was ich mich aber Frage ist, ob die Leistung der Claw für die nächste Zeit wirklich noch ausreichend ist, wenn man dann doch mal zockt oder ob ich tatsächlich auf die claw ex gehen sollte, nur hab ich da irgendwie Bedenken was die Preis-Leistung an geht, die ist wie ich finde wirklich schlecht den 8ex betreffend.

Was würdet ihr machen?

Vom Grundsatz her kann ich das natürlich selbst entscheiden, aber irgendwie bin ich so unentschlossen meinen PC wirklich weg zu geben 😅

It shows a new version in updates, I pressed update, it is now in downloaded section, but its run button does nothing, which makes sense, since it's a zip file

I have claw ex and tried with claw tweaks v0.2.1 and v0.3.0

Everything else works fine, amazing app. In case if the developer reads it: would be nice if pressing update on gpu driver would either run it in background, alttab to the installer automatically, or at least show a notification that something was launched and use should alttab manually

9070 vs 9070xt egpu on the aoostar Eg02 with my own 850 psu +8ai.

The cards between them have an average of 10-12% difference on 1440p where I aim to use it.

There is a bigger difference in 4k but that is not in the plan and the 9070 can do reasonable 4k anyway.

Im considering going the 9070 way 16gb and save some cash since it technically can do what I want.

My thoughts are ...is it going to be worth it or am I gonna lose a lot more out of the CPU bottleneck?

If that is the case then people go for the 9070xt cause they expect a loss through the bottleneck and they just push more power through it ?

What do the people/users think ?

I've managed to get a bundle for the 8 EX with the official screen protector. How hard is it to put on? There's only one in the box, right? Does it come with a physical guide or frame to put it centered? If I know MSI this is basically the only official screen protector I'm going to get, and after this It will basically be impossible to get another one. I'm kind of afraid to put it on, usually when I apply a tempered glass I go through 2 or 3 of them before I'm happy with it 😬

I have very bad Performance when i turn off cpu boost… i think panther lake is not made for that like lunar lake

I will be buying Msi Ex Claw at the end of this month, if you own ex claw and you tried remnant 2 on it can u tell me how does it perform guys

Does anyone have any info on when we are supposed to receive our orders? When I pre ordered it was showing as today (18th) but still no information or updates.

Thing still sounds like a jet engine 90% of the time for me - even during some light desktop usage, although it does settle sometimes. Gaming almost requires a headphone now if you're gaming on a quiet place, taking away all the benefits of having such nice speakers.

I also have a ONEXPlayer 3 and fan noise in comparison is night and day, the OXP3 is almost silent. This is a huge downgrade from the overall very quiet fan profile of the original Claw 8 AI+. Is the same happening with other EX owners here?

With all the massive updates with the said game, is it already decently playable on the claw 8ai+?

Has anyone who ordered the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ from Amazon.de received any new information recently?

I placed my order on June 23, 2026, and it still hasn’t shipped. I’ve contacted Amazon a few times, but the estimated dates/information keep changing and I still don’t have any real update.

Has anyone here:

• Ordered around June 23 or later and already received theirs?
• Had their order dispatched recently?
• Gotten a new estimated delivery/dispatch date from Amazon.de?
• Heard anything about when Amazon Germany is expecting the next batch?

Especially interested in Amazon.de orders, not other German retailers.

My Claw 8 EX has completely supplanted my gaming laptop and gaming desktop as my preferred gaming device. I have poor eyesight, and the ability to play games at high settings without glasses on is just an absolute game-changer for me. Because of my eyesight, I actually have a better visual experience playing Cyberpunk on Ultra settings at 1080p (or 1200p) on the Claw 8 EX than playing on Ray Tracing Ultra at 4k on a 32" OLED screen on my desktop, because I can see it better since I don't have to use glasses and the screen is closer to my face.

That said, does anybody else have a problem where the screen is just a bit too big? When I'm holding the device normally, I find myself having to move my head, rather than just my eyes, to see things in the different corners of the screen, which can cause neck pain after a long gaming session. I can solve that problem by moving the device further away from my face, but then I can't quite see it as clearly. I normally like to play with the screen about 2 inches from the tip of my nose, because at that distance I can see everything perfectly without any fuzziness.
