Full length top tube bag

Interior of the bag has triangular Velcro dividers with reflective binder ribbon along the tops. The triangular shape allows easy and wide access to the contents. They are removable for long items. Made from Multicam Cordura, foam laminated headliner fabric for pick up trucks. The white on the 'floor' in the foreground
is an extra layer of closed cell foam for my cell phone to bounce around on.
I live car free and this bike is my primary townie. Too much bag for urban, but perfect for my bikepacking/touring needs.

Frame Bag mounting options

Hi all,

Need some advice on mount a full frame bag that I’m making for my surly straggler. The top of the frame bag has small loops running along the length of top tube to allow a lace up style of attaching. I have now got a dilemma with mounting method for the rest of the bag.

My options:

  1. daisy chain some wide webbing along the length to allow movable Velcro strap placement. Would this approach allow lace up as well? Photo attached is just off Google to demonstrate daisy chain approach with Velcro. I imagine trying to run cord would make it sag?
  2. continue with the loop approach for a complete lace up mounting style
  3. daisy chain and loops for flexibility of the two options (overkill and probably not going to do)
