you know if you've been playing arc raiders you need to have a mindset like max to survive. What if there was a mad max extraction game? You could build up your base car roam around map finding stuff and upgrading your car, weapons. Have factions like warboys for enemies.
The 'trade negotiations' scene is awesome. Plain and simple. Because if you pay close attention you'll notice that Dementus didn't win anything, but instead he was played like a fiddle.
Dementus wanted double of everything. Instead he agreed to 33% more water and 25% more potatoes only. He was low balled and he still agreed. Why?
Because the Immortan realised that Dementus is full of it, seconds after Furiosa said she wasn't his daughter. He realised that he is lying about rigging Gastown as well. It comes up again later in the film when Dementus fakes blowing up Gastown and Immortan knows there's no advantage to it, so he fooled Dementus using his own tactics (fake Gastown smoke for fake armada dust cloud).
But here's the best part: Immortan literally hired Dementus as security for his War Rigs and Gastown for pennies. (Because that place, along with the Bullet Farm, did not have their own armies yet - they were built after Dementus was killed).
Dementus was technically allowed to 'run Gastown' and the moment he ran that place to the ground and attacked the Bullet Farm, the Immortan finished him off. So the Immortan didn't really give Dementus much control to begin with, he gave him an illusion of it and since Dementus was too narcissistic and stupid - he didn't even realise it.
From back in the day when we were getting leaked stuff on the Mad Max Movies forum , someone might have fun zooming in on Google Earth to check out these
Mad Max Fury Road B&C Trailer in 4K
In star trek we rarely get to see Earth all that much (and when we do it’s usually San Francisco). Given the nature of Star Trek, basically a post-scarcity high tech utopia without borders, what would you like to imagine your country is up to in the 24th century? Is there a canon mention of your country in Star Trek?
In Voyager, New Zealand hosts a federation penal colony. It’s also the home of a few really good academies apparently.
Let's try and be as optimistic and hopeful as we can be. Keep in the spirit of Star trek.
Slowly bits are getting done. Today's bits are a couple of patches hot off MIL's machine. When I get home next, I'm gonna fumble my way thru a bolt of calico for the material clothing
So I was thinking the other day, about how the world seems to move really fast over the mad max series, yet max stays the same. Entire generations have grown up in the wastelands. My theory is that max doesn’t age, he’s a wanderer, he solves problems. Possibly due to radiation, or maybe he died and his spirit remained. Like the wasteland too, what seems to me like 100s of years to turn into what it is, and he’s the same. And unlikely theory. Don’t debunk it, I like my bubble.
The world of mad max has a lot of room to grow, I would love some more media showing Australian east and west coasts, Darwin, shamanic and the like. What warlords roam. What vehicles do they drive. How do they live. Do they drive modified police cars and trucks with wheels on the roof like wwI tanks? Is there a warlord who worships fish?
I loved both Fury Road and Furiosa and recently I had a great conversation with my friend about these movies. He was really negative about Furiosa, though. It was interesting to see where we disagree, but I think if he gave it another chance he might change his mind.
I have always been really bad putting into words exactly why I love the art I do, so I was hoping some of you, who also liked the movie, might have some advice.
Here are the reasons he gave for not liking it:
When I said I loved the tragedy of the Furiosa/Jack love story, he said it seemed rushed and he wished they showed more of how they fell in love. He said it was like one minute they barely know each other, the next they're in love.
He said the story overall was not impactful to him.
But mostly he complained about the bad CGI. I know Fury Road used more practical effects and admittedly, I don't always have the best eye for that sort of thing, but was it really that bad?
Thanks for any advice!
This appears at the tail end of the fury road bts and I can't find any info on it. I'm pretty sure it's just a camera car or something disguised to fit in better because it doesn't show up at all in the movie to my knowledge.
My friend wants to know this and I know this is admittedly a stupid question because they say their names in the credits of the film.
But except for Angharhad they never mention their names during the runtime of the film before the credits.
And In the credits they just have the name of the actress with the character, so you would have to google a picture of the actress to attach the name to the character still.
Now he's 95% sure I’m right but my friend is working on a video essay ( for is YT) and need to be 100% sure or he’ll look like a dumbass
So if there’s something he missed in the film or there is a way to figure out the names of the wives without the search the internet please tell me. THANK YOU SO
