"Just as the commandment 'Thou shalt not kill' sets a clear limit in order to safeguard the value of human life, today we also have to say 'thou shalt not' to an economy of exclusion and inequality. Such an economy kills." - Pope Francis

Drawings by Hiroshima and Nagasaki survivors

An estimated 150,000 to 240,000 people died total from the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the end of 1945, with long-term totals eventually exceeding 340,000.

If you believe capitalist regimes would not cross certain red lines, think again.

US government even refused to apologize.

"We need billionaires" logic

Feudal lords do not create land, they just own it. They don't provide it to peasants, they just withold it and selectively stop doing so.

Billionaires don't create workplaces, they just own them, they do not provide us with the means of production, they just selectively stop witholding them from us.

Land was there before feudal lords, means of production were made by the workers.

Water privatization is an example of how capitalism kills millions every year.

What is water privatization?

It is a practice in which private companies take ownership of natural water resources.

They commonly use their ownership to create artificial scarcity which in turn allows them to sell their product and generate profit.

Simultaniously, over 2 BILLION people have no access to clean drinking water which causes over 1.4 million deaths every year, including hundreds of thousands of children.

This is nothing but corporate greed over human lifes. The true nature of the capitalist system we live in.

Capitalism is a genocidal regime.

Teenage anticommunists be like:

Context:

Eastern European and other countries before communism were agrarian backwaters where half of the population couldn't read or write and life expectancies were in 30s 40s. In my country for example (Yugoslavia) only around 14% of households had electrucity before Communists took power.

Communism rapidly developed them in record speeds, doubling life expectancies, eradicating illiteracy and reducing child mortality by over 90% while industrial and economic growth was in double digits. Industrial index in some countries like USSR increased 40x fold since the revolution.

Life expectancies before and after Socialism:

Russia: ~32 → ~69 years

Albania: ~38 → ~69 years

Yugoslavia: ~39 → ~72 years

Romania: ~42 → ~69 years

Poland: ~49 → ~71 years

Bulgaria: ~51 → ~71 years

Czechoslovakia: ~53 → ~71 years

Hungary: ~49 → ~69 years

China: ~36–40 → ~68 years

Vietnam: ~40–45 → ~65–68 years

Despite all this some internet denizens today victimize themselves about Communist past, while approval rate of Communism increases with age in these countries because majority of those that remember it claim it was better and they can't be fooled with anticommunist historic revision.

Capitalism kills over 10 million every year. Thats more than a Holocaust every year.

9 million starve to death each year while 40% of food is destroyed to keep the prices up.

1.4 million die to the lack of clean water while megacirporations privatize natural water springs.

400k die to malaria while vaccine is less than 10$ to produce but there is no profit incentive if they can't afford it.

Not to mention oil wars and interventions to prevent uprisings.
