Today I learned that in US states such as Alabama companies can "rent" prison inmates and they'll work chained to their workstations. Only the US can get away with literal slavery and zero condemnation from the "rules based world order" for it

6 dead, more than 40 injured, and 15 are still missing after 16 Ukrainian drone strikes on the dormitory in LPR. The majority of victims are teenage girls

Ukrainian drones attacked a building and dormitory of Starobelsk College (Luganks People's Republic), where more than 85 teenagers were sleeping on the night of May 22.

Rubble removal was halted due to the threat of another drone strike on rescuers.

The injured children suffered shrapnel wounds and injuries from the collapsed floors.

This is a pedagogical college which children attend after completing ninth grade. The students are mostly aged 15-18, and most are girls.

About 15 people remain trapped under the rubble a day after the strike. Parents are searching for their children. The exact number of teenagers trapped under the rubble is still unknown.

What if the Western Left were socially conservative, like Stalin?

The Western left often gets accused of having abandoned Working class issues for social Progressivism, so what if this wasnt the case and they were like what you call the “Old Left” or like Stalin so to say. Stalin criminalized homosexuality, abortion and promoted the nuclear family, so what if Leftists followed in his path? Would it help win back working class votes from Right Wing Populists or would it have been a flop? And what are the wider implications? Would it have stopped RW populists like Trump or Farage or AFD? And how would the right adapt?
