How did Khomeini manage to lead the revolution at such an old age?
reddit.comA tale as old as time, liberals will always side with fascists to undermine socialism
The fact it’s such a tie and xi doesn’t have at least a 70% lead is insane, and all the replies are talking about some “trump might be bad but xi is infinitely worse”
Why did communists not rule France after the 1945 elections?
reddit.comCommunism improved Eastern Europe
I saw a poll on another subreddit asking what damaged the Balkans the most, and the second most voted option was communism.
Communism is the only reason the Balkans managed to industrialize and abandon the semi-feudal economy.
Many Balkans and more broadly Eastern Europeans seem to believe that communism held their countries back and they would be as advanced as Germany and France if the were always capitalist, but the truth is that if the West had won over the Soviets in Eastern Europe the said countries would have similar trajectories to Greece. Sure, after WW2 they would have had modernized and industrialized a lot, but that success would be short lived as they would basically be vassal states for the imperial core to experiment on and the corrupt national bourgeois would serve capitalist interests and a few decades later they would be facing economic crises, and probably would have had far-right military dictatorships in between.
Don’t some substances and materials on earth have higher value due to their rarity?
I probably haven’t understood the term good enough so I hope someone would explain this to me. According to the labor theory of value the value of a product is determined by the socially necessary labor that’s needed to produce it, however since some materials on earth like diamonds, minerals etc are more rare, don’t they add more value to the product?
Can sanctions ever be good?
Sanctions are America’s favorite tool and are always imposed on leftist and anti west countries causing the deaths of millions of innocent civilians.
With that being said could sanctions imposed on objectively fascist and repressive states be a solution? Like how America sanctioned Imperial Japan, or if somehow the world decided to impose an embargo on Israel.
It’s a way to weaken those governments, but on the other hand it would worsen the lives of the average population. Please lmk what you think.
Revolutionary People exhibition
Hello everyone a few months ago I came across a post on Twitter of a museum-like building in Iran that had portrays of foreign revolutionary
/anti imperialist leaders and if I’m not mistaken some of them were Che Guevara, Castro and Malcom X, however I don’t remember how it’s called. If anyone knows what I’m talking about please let me know
Edit: I’m sorry if I didn’t make myself clear enough. I know that nouns are gendered in German and I speak Greek and the same happens in that language so I know how it works… But I just saw from a youtube video that you can use er and sie for neuter nouns too, thats what I’m wondering about
I’d like to learn about all the periods but also something debunking the west’s lies about Stalin.
