I just had my first Magdalena Bay experience. I’m speechless.

After seeing the album cover for Imaginal Disk all over my social media for a while and not listening to the album, I finally decided to cave in and see what the hype was. And I can report that…

Imaginal Disk is an absolutely jaw dropping album. From start to finish my ears were being relentlessly blessed with flawless production, heavenly vocals and seem-less transitions. I don’t think I’ve listened to such a captivating album in a while.

I can’t genuinely pick a top 3 fave, I’d have to let it digest. Back to back bangers though for sure.

What were they being fed in the studio? This album might genuinely be one of only few I would call a perfect 10 man. I’m so happy I started listening to these two.

Which songs display each of their musical ability best?

So for example, I think Mica’s best vocals are in This Is The World. And Matt’s best production is That’s My Floor (his baseline is also incredible in that song)
