Accessories for BE 6

Hey Guys!!!

Done with the PDI of the new vehicle allotted, dealer is offering accessories worth 12k. Suggest me some good to have OEM official accessories.

I was thinking about Rain visor, Mud flaps, Applique set for ORVM, Wheel arch and Rear Bumper. Confused between Trunk mat with Bumper extension, anti-skid rubberized tray kit and Screen guard.

Also suggest me some good 7D mats for the car, as the official mats are exorbitantly over priced!!!

Thanks for all the support!!!

Mahindra Home charger installation

I was under the impression that Mahindra Powerol was the official partner for home charger installation for Mahindra EVs.

Recently, I've come across a few mentions of eChargeBays handling installations for Mahindra owners.

Does anyone know if Mahindra has officially onboarded eChargeBays as an authorized installation partner?

If you've recently taken delivery of a BE 6 or XEV 9e:

Who installed your home charger?
Was the installer Mahindra Powerol, eChargeBays, or someone else?
Was this arranged directly by Mahindra/the dealership?
Which city are you in, and when was your installation done?

I'm trying to understand whether this is an official nationwide change or just a regional/dealer-specific arrangement.

Need dos and donts for Car updates.

Are there any SOP/Best practices for an update to install?

  1. Is it safe to update the car in a basement considering downloading of the update is already done?

  2. Is it necessary to sit inside the car with the key as the car updates ? Should the car detect a passanger in seat for update to go on smoothly?

  3. Do we need the key inside the car for system to not auto shut down?

  4. I was trying to lock the car with the key but was unable to as the update was happening any possible way to do that ?

  5. Is it safe to put the car on 3.3 kw slow charging when updates are being installed

  6. Is it safe to put the car on 11 kw charging or even more DC charging 60-120 kw?

  7. Any other things worth considering best practices etc.

What's the Truth? Dashboard Mileage VS Real?

The dashboard shows 7.1km/kWh but the real calculation shows it is only 5.9km/kWh. What should we really consider here? Also, is this mileage considered healthy?

Sealed Mahindra 11 kW charger for sale in Delhi-NCR

I have a fully sealed Mahindra 11 kW charger that I can't get installed in my society due to load restrictions. The installation with 15m wire comes free along with it. Price is negotiable.

Edit: Decided not to sell it off

Owners of Mahindra XEV 9e / BE 6 / XEV 9s: What do you do for a living,

Hey everyone,

I’m currently looking at the new Mahindra INGLO lineup (specifically eyeing the BE 6 and XEV 9e). On paper, I can technically afford the on-road price and the EMIs without breaking a sweat, but I’m having a bit of cold feet. I can't shake the feeling that dropping ₹25L - ₹33L+ on a car might be a bad financial call for my current situation.

To help me benchmark, I wanted to ask real owners:

  • What do you do professionally to afford this car?
  • What is your yearly income or annual savings baseline where you felt comfortable signing the check?
  • How much daily km will you drive this car
  • Did you pay upfront, or what does your EMI-to-income ratio look like?

Would love some honest financial reality checks before I make a decision. Thanks!

Could the Mahindra Vision S become a game changer in the sub4m SUV segment, especially if it gets a diesel engine?

9sian!

Hey Reddit,

Just brought home the XEV 9S pack 2 70Kwh Upgrading from a Nexon XM, so this thing feels like an absolute spaceship. Did a quick 20 km city run and here’s the immediate breakdown:
Road Presence: It is massive. The size jump from the Nexon is crazy, and the blue looks stunning in person.
The Screen: The infotainment is overkill. Way more tech than necessary, but looks very futuristic.
Range Anxiety: Real as hell. Saw a pretty big percentage drop in just 20 km of city traffic. Definitely a learning curve ahead with the throttle and regen.
Charging: Testing the 3kW home charger and yeah... it’s painfully slow for a battery this size. Need that 7.2kW upgrade ASAP.
Overall, super pumped for road trips once I get used to the EV lifestyle.

Any Bangalore XEV / EV owner groups around? Looking to join local community chats, share ownership tips, or pull up to some Bengaluru meetups.

AMA if you're eyeing one!

First rain experience is not good with XEV 9S

Today, it rained here in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. I was having a wonderful time driving around with the rolo sunshade wide open, enjoying the pleasant weather.

However, the vibe quickly changed when I parked in my office basement. As I was heading out again, I tried to close the sunshade, but it wouldn't budge. Thinking I could reset it by opening the actual sunroof and closing both together, I opened the sunroof. Big mistake! Now, the sunroof itself was stuck open too.

Suspecting the anti-pinch safety feature might be triggering, I headed back to the office parking lot and carefully cleaned the sunroof tracks and closing area. Still, no luck—it refused to close.

I called the service center, but they are fully booked today and offered to pick up the car tomorrow morning. Not wanting to leave the sunroof wide open, I kept trying. Fortunately, after a few more attempts, I finally managed to get the sunroof to close!

The rolo sunshade, however, is still completely unresponsive and remains open. I’m going to leave it for now and try again on my drive home later this evening. If it’s still broken, looks like I'll be making a trip to the service center tomorrow.

🤞 Crossing my fingers it magically resets itself by 7 PM!

Note: I used AI to help clean up and format this story for better readability.

Can you use other brand charger for Xev 9s Pack 3?

We are taking delivery of the car tomorrow and was wondering about the 7.2 KW wall mounted charger and whether we have to buy a Mahindra charger only. My family already has a MG 7.2 Kw wall charger(unopened since 2 years). I was wondering is it safe to use the MG charger and would there be any issues with the battery or warranty/insurance?
