Maltese needs a sibling, what breeds should I look into?
Hello Reddit please advice me if there is a better place to post this, to clarify this is NOT a post about looking for a dog to purchase!!!!
I have a 6 year old Maltese named Gemini. He is the sweetest boy in the whole world.
He never been “alone” in his life since I used to live in a house with lots of neighbors that had dogs, and I would regularly schedule play dates for him. (Plus we lived near a dog park)
However I recently had to move for work and he is now alone for the first time in his life. We still live near a dog park however my partner and I think we should get him a sibling. We are planning on adopting a dog in the summer. (Adopt Don’t shop) however we don’t have any ideas on what breeds we should keep an eye out for, we just know we want a smaller to medium sized dog.
So my question is this, based on your experience what other dogs/dog breeds, you think blends well Malteses’?
