hello! because it is a world cup year i am doing something different and doing an additional marx madness tournament specifically for the world cup

the marx madness world cup survey form has been officially released for 2026. please fill out the form by selecting as many or as little people who you have been influenced by politically.

if there is someone you have been influenced by who has not been included (especially if it’s from a country/region/nation where only a few/no ppl were listed), please let me know and their inclusion will be heavily considered

if there are any questions at all please let me know!!the poll will run until may 24th!

i would also encourage ppl to name search if they haven’t found someone as people may be listed under a particular country/region/nation based on their ancestry

the results will be announced on the twitter account @transjewtalian on march 24th

Saagar is wrong. Screentime is not the cause of declining test scores. It’s the slow cancellation of the future.

In a recent video I heard Saagar Enjeti blame "the screens" for declining test scores in the US. But they have screens in China and Japan, and are not facing these same declines. Mark Fisher knows "societal collapse" is causally upstream from the digital distraction, rather than the inverse.

Open call for new Mark Fisher stuff

Hi all,

We will soon be updating our fansite/archive ( https://markfishercyberfield.github.io/ ).

It currently features all Mark Fisher video content from youtube as of something like 2019 - now due an update.

We therefore humbly request anyone here who has, or can locate, any extra Mark Fisher material to send us a message, here on reddit, or by emailing the address found on our site. This could be for written articles, more videos or talks, interviews, or anything else relevant that you may know of.

The site also contains fanmade extras including a music album and zine, though we are highly selective on what is included here, as we aim to maintain the site with canon Mark Fisher material only - this section is not open to submissions therefore, though exceptions might be considered if deemed appropriate following our internal deliberation procedures.

I wrote a Substack on Capitalist Realism and Burial's Debut Album

It's not going to be as technical as many would like; I wrote it more to introduce the topic of capitalist realism through the medium of music to people unfamiliar with the concept. I've already had someone message me saying "communism sounds good in theory...", which kind of proves the point.

Anyway, Burial's debut album (which Mark loved) has just turned 20, so I thought it'd be a good time to talk about the sounds of lost futures, etc.
