Looking for scholarly texts on the Xianxia Genre
Hello Fellow Daoist's, I am seeking guidance on the location of scholarly texts approved by many disciples of different sects (peer-reviewed) and published and shared in many sect library's (journals) on the Xianxia and cultivation genre. I am working on a assignment from the mission hall and am looking for proper background to support my text. If anybody can find any it is much appreciated. If any sect elders who have a scholarly background knows of such hidden texts please help this little Daoist.
OOC: I'm looking for actual texts published in journals in the academic community for a school project. My main thesis will be on how Xianxia reflects modern societies fantasy of progressing in social class, etc...

[Top Tier Providence] I'm looking for a similar manhua
Hi!
The main thing I'm looking for is a calm, slow-paced story. I really like the concept where the MC can just quietly cultivate, gradually become OP, and doesn't feel the need to get involved in every little problem around him.
That said, I still enjoy it when the MC occasionally has to step in and show everyone who's actually the strongest :)
I don't expect something with the exact same level of humor, but I'd definitely like a similar overall vibe. I'm not looking for something extremely serious or heavy, but at the same time, I don't want pure comedy or a story where everything is a joke either.
I'd really appreciate any recommendations!
