Remy showed up a little over a year after Haylee had her last litter of puppies, she thought he was her baby and took care of him, he let her. Haylee passed 16 years ago and Remy will turn 17 at the end of this month, their bond was so sweet. Second pic is Remy now, my sweet old man.
Douglas Fir, or Doug for short, passed away last night. He was a senior kitty who showed up at my house emaciated, flea ridden, and on the verge of death. Got him fixed up and he became pals with my dog, Rocky. Vet thinks he was around 15 years old. Unfortunately little guys body slowly gave out on him and I had to make the difficult decision to end his pain. He was only with me for a year but my god, what a great year that was. He came to me at a really dark time and healed something in me. I only wish I could’ve done more. My heart is absolutely shattered. He was a one of a kind cat. Rest in peace my crusty Grandpa.
When I first met Kitty she was a stray. I wasn't allowed to take her in just yet, so I'd feed her and spend time with her outside, usually just cuddling and rubbing our faces together because she's always been insanely affectionate. Eventually she'd started sneaking into my house when doors were left open lol 😂 and that's when she met Josie, and I learned that affection was not contained to just humans. She rubbed her face all over Josie and meowed and meowed until she had all of her attention. Eventually I was finally able to let Kitty live in my home and her love for Josie only grew. I think Josie loves Kitty too, but even if she doesn't, she's always been chill enough to just let it be😭 Kitty still loves rubbing her face on Josie's, and I don't think Josie knows how to react, so she licks Kitty on the face which visibly weirds Kitty out. They're the cutest little pets ever and i'm so lucky they get along this way
