There is something totally magical about season 1, whenever I rewatch it , I get transported into this world.

Like we're supposed to believe that Beaufort is a big luxury brand like LVMH style so why is it it's future solely depend on some teenage boy ?? Why does James have to attend the meeting when he has high-school to attend, I mean Mortimer shouldn't even had to go to those meetings because at this level of big brand everything would have been delegated to secretaries and staff. Like in real life I highly doubt that Bernard Arnault even bother going to any LVMH meetings. Beaufort have enough money and fame to bribe everyone (Maxton Hall, Oxford, the bakery and all) but Mortimer has to beg one investor to stay otherwise the brand will go bankrupt?? I don't even understand why it went bankrupt out of nowhere. Like why did the mother death made the sales go down, if anything shouldn't it have made them higher as in a tribute sales ? Why did James's nice speech about the importance of mental health affect the sales but not his previous party-going careless attitude ?
I truly have a hard time understanding how big Beaufort company is and why does it faces financial difficulties.
