I have a 3.3 diesel that we use daily only on short trips - 6km total to and from. Should i be concerned that it will wear the engine prematurely?

My dad is having a bit of dilemma currently. He is replacing his passenger van which he bought brand new in 2010. He really did like this van although, due to it being french, it's not been the most reliable unfortunately.

Now the time has come for him to get a new car and he has 2 options. Get a van like car (which in this case is a brand new Dacia Jogger 1.8 Hybrid) or an approved used small estate/SUV. This could be something like a Volvo V60, possibly a Škoda Octavia or the CX-5/CX-60. My dad knows that he likes Mazda's as my mum has a Mazda3. The CX-5 we like is a petrol Takumi model (2.5 and 2.0). We also like the sound of having a CX-60 which is definitely more premium, but is unfortunately either diesel or PHEV. The thing in situation is that we could either get a CX-5 which is more simple with a tried and tested engine, or a more luxury CX-5 with a less tested powertrain but again, more luxury.

If anybody has owned both or has experience with both, it would be well appreciated if you could help us.

I want to buy a cx-60, now I have a cx 30 2.0 186hp, a new member is coming in my family, so I need more space!

I need to buy a car and i am stuck between a safe Tucson PHEV 265HP or a lovely Mazda 6 2.5L PHEV .

The Mazda has more miles but it's classier, sportier, bigger and way more fun .

Anyone with a 2.5L PHEV that can share some experiences ? Problems? .

The car tested behaved great, no sounds, no issues other than the firm suspension.

Saw a decent Mazda CX 60 at a good price, but it has a very weird rattling (rrrrrr) sound while accelerating at lower speeds + a little vibration felt in the driver seat , mostly at lower speeds . Doesn't seem to be the engine, but close to the engine

The car is PHEV 2.5L /2022.

Anyone has any ideas what it can be ???
