I swear to god their lines are always busy and whenever i press '2' to make an appointment the phone just auto disconnects or it says the line is currently busy and to call again.

My dog overheats pretty easily, but she also needs like an hour of park time everyday. Do you guys know of any large grass parks that’s completely shaded near Merced?

edit: Thank you for the responses guys, I’ve decided I’m going to leave my dog with my mom in Southern California during the summers, and during the not hot months I’ll keep her in Merced.

What did u guys think about the show that was supposed to start at 10:15pm???

So far I have strawberries growing, none of our local nurseries are open and I’m looking for more variety cuts to grow from. Thank you in advance

Every once in awhile like someone or something will slam hella hard on our front door making a loud crashing noise and by the time anyone checks we can't find anyone. It's infuriating. It's only usually past like 10:00 p.m. I don't understand. I haven't been able to catch anyone thinking of going to the lady across the street to see if she has camera footage but anyone else experiencing this issue???

I did not explain my hobbies and likes and stuff. I enjoy taking my butane stove, an egg, and a pan to a park and cooking an egg. With the wind hitting my face. Yes, the wind also makes it difficult to cook the egg but I manage at this point lol. I like nature, I like the idea of going to a lake and sitting right next to the cool water and feeling the breeze from the wind. And I like walking around the area and seeing local businesses.

Hey everyone, my name is Michael. I’m a musician, music teacher, and father here in Merced, and I wanted to share something deeply personal that I’ve been trying to build called Echoes of Elliot.

This project started because of my son, Elliot.

Like a lot of people, life has thrown some heavy things at me over the years. Music became the one place where I could process pain, heal, create, and still feel connected to hope. Somewhere along the way, I realized I didn’t just want to make music anymore — I wanted to create something that could genuinely help people, especially kids who may never otherwise get the chance to explore music.

That’s where Echoes of Elliot came from.

The dream is to build a small community-focused music studio and creative space here in Merced where kids, families, and local musicians can feel safe, inspired, and supported. Not just a recording studio, but a place with purpose.

The goal is to:

• repair instruments for kids and families who can’t afford repairs
• collect donated instruments and eventually give them away
• teach music lessons and recording
• mentor young artists
• give local musicians a place to create
• build a positive outlet through music and creativity

I know firsthand how powerful music can be when someone feels lost, overwhelmed, or alone. One instrument, one lesson, or one encouraging conversation can completely change someone’s path.

Right now I’m trying to slowly build this from the ground up with whatever I can. I’ve been recording, teaching, creating content, and putting everything I have into making this vision real.

I’m reaching out because I know communities are built through people helping people.

If anyone knows:

• local businesses that support community projects
• organizations or churches that help youth programs
• people with unused instruments or music gear
• anyone willing to collaborate, donate, or even share advice

—I would truly appreciate it.

Even simply sharing this post means more than most people realize.

I don’t expect overnight success. I just want to create something meaningful here in Merced that leaves a positive impact long after I’m gone.

Today I got a watermelon from Xiong family farm. It is at the intersection of Bellevue Road and Highway 59. It's so full of juice oh man. Y'all should go check it out. I also brought some nectarines, with salt they were perfect! 👍

Hello, I have been in Merced for a little bit of time now, but I have been wanting to put myself out there more and maybe find some friends or dates out there.
