know Ill be bloated all night and need outfit help!

I have a fancy work dinner event later this weekend and already know I'm going to be bloated bc its just how my gut works. Ive had this isse for years!! I dont wanna default to an oversized blazer and leggings combo bc I wear that literally every single time i need to look put together. wrap dresses are cute but they get so tight across the middle in like 2 hours and then im just standing there readjusting the tie every 5 minutes like an idiot. i want something that doesn't scream I'm hiding my stomach but also doesn't have me sucking it in through the whole appetizer course. This is kind of a big event and I really want to look nice! Anyone have suggestions?

Inappropriate or sexual comments will not be tolerated regardless of gender

We do not care what your gender identity is compared to the person to whom you are speaking. There seems to be some misconceptions on what counts as sexual harassment when the commentor is a woman talking to another woman, or too a male OP.

Let us clear that up right now, that is STILL harassment and will not be tolerated. If you make inappropriate comments you will face mod action, up to and including a permanent ban.

How to style and accessories better?

Hi,
After I had my first child (now 19 months) I feel like I totally lost my style and feel for my body. I didn’t gain an insane amount during pregnancy/breastfeeding, but my body just feel/felt (and I think looked) very different. My body made a whole ass human sooooo.. haha
I have never felt like I understood style or could find clothes that fit my body, or looked nice. The last few months I have been SHOPPING! Because I deserve to feel and look great 😁😁
I am still trying to find my styles - I love colour, but I also like a bit of an edgy. Was more grungy when I was younger. The hard part is finding outfit where I feel good, think I look good but were I still can run after a toodler or just sit down (without worry) in the grass and look at rocks.. because you know a toodler 😅
I have added some outfits, both everyday and party, please give feedback on what looks good, what could be improved upon and other ideas for styles/clothes that would look great on me. I hear people say you can’t just wear your clothes, you have to style it to make the outfit. I feel like I’m horrible at this, haha, I’m trying! But please give input on how you would change or accessories my outfits to make them better.

If it makes a difference - I wear a uniform for work so these are all just for off days or when driving to and from work.

As you probably already know sizing is crazy so I have items from M-XXL/2XL as well as pants size up to 18 uk (I think), mainly 16-18 in pants.

(Baggy) jeans within EU

I actually love jeans especially more baggy ones but I can never find the right one. I have a pretty small waist compared to my hips/butt. So either very tight around my thighs or a gap around the waist (or both lmao). I struggle to find the right one and with fall coming up I'm in need of some proper jeans.

My question is if anyone knows a store/brand I can buy it from. I'm from The Netherlands so any store within my country or even the EU would be a lot of help !

Maternity recommendations?

I'm a stay at home mom expecting my third baby, and I'm a curvy US size 12. I always find it challenging to dress in a flattering way during pregnancy, but for my first two I mostly wore long loose dresses. But this year I'm going to be involved in a preschool co-op for my eldest child, meaning most days of the week I'm going to need to dress in a way that would work for a preschool teacher. Any recommendations for comfortable/flattering maternity jeans/pants/jumpsuits etc? Thanks!

Swimsuit help?

I have a problem I never imagined I would have-
I recently found multiple swimsuit options that I actually like AND feel comfortable in.

Help me decide?

The teal bottoms are one size smaller than the blue ones. Curious to know which size bottoms seems best and also which top + bottom combo is best.

Ideally I will keep one pair of bottoms and one, maybe 2 tops.

More coming in the mail that I’m also hopeful about! So I might post again about this same topic haha

Obsessed with these Levi’s Cinched Baggy jeans

I am always on the hunt for the perfect pair of jeans and I think I found them. They also make these in denim shorts.

I love it because the waist has these side tabs so you can cinch in your waist, if you ever have that gap at the top of your jeans. My weight tends to fluctuate slightly so they’re great if you want to take them in or let them out. They’re also so comfy. Highly recommend for my midsize girlies. I had to size down in the pants but size up in the shorts version. I'm 5'7".

Dammmnnn these pants were a lucky find 😂

Also thrifted the shoes. I usually try not to but realized I was only going to wear it for a couple of hours.

My Apothecary Diaries outfit for a YOASOBI concert!

Went to go see YOASOBI concert last week. Everything is from the Apothecary Diaries collection from Steady Hands. The vocalist of the duo does one of the openings for The Apothecary Diaries anime, hence the outfit choice.

How on earth do you not fall victim to fast fashion with costs?

So for context I'm in the UK,fast fashion is absolutely rife and I grew up on it but I've moved on..mostly (trying..)

But with the cost of everything how do you actually manage it, logistically?

Ie in Primark I could get one shirt for about 7,or go across to another shop and pay 18 for one whereas I could get two for that cost at least

I know it's higher quality ect but this stresses me out to no belief

Do you just accept you have less clothes, budget or something?

I don't do temu or shien

And yes this is relevant,I'm a UK 18 so EVERYTHING is more expensive (and ugly)

Favorite longer length / half sleeve basic tops ?

Hello! So frustrated with my wardrobe at the moment. I am in the market for an inexpensive longer length top that has half sleeves and preferably a scoop neck. I’d like to buy a couple in different colors just as a basic every day throw it on and not think about it top. The last couple that I have bought online have been so thin that you can see my bra outline through them. Or they’ve been tight on my belly or the opposite and look like a potato sack. I’m not a fan of layering so I’m hoping to find something that I can wear as is or add accessories and dress it up a bit for my kids school functions or visiting the in-laws. 😂

Dress Recommendations for "Funky Formal" Wedding

I have a wedding next month and the dress code is "funky formal." I'm having a tough time finding a dress that fits the dress code, fits me and doesn't break the bank.

I try to avoid Amazon, but I'm getting truly desperate.

Please share places where you have purchased a formal dress recently!

nobody makes real flare jeans

I'm having the hardest time finding flare jeans that works for midsize sizes, companies are not willing to use extra fabric to make the jeans flare like they are supposed to. Where can I find jeans that ACTUALLY flare?

Help me find a classy wedding guest dress that flatters a curvier figure!

I'm struggling to find a dress for an upcoming wedding and would love some recommendations!

I'm 22 and I'm looking for something that feels classy, feminine.... not overly mature/"mom-ish," but also not clubwear or super revealing.

The dress I originally fell in love with was this I.N. San Francisco velvet floral cowl-neck midi dress from Dillard's (in the light green): https://www.dillards.com/p/i.n.-san-francisco-velvet-floral-cowl-neck-midi-slip-dress/520490830

What I loved about it:

  • The cowl neckline
  • The way the fabric skimmed my body without being tight/bodycon
  • It defined my waist and complemented my curves really well
  • The midi length
  • The light green color looked really good on me
  • It felt feminine but still classy

Unfortunately, the back is too open for me because I'm a 32DDD and want to be able to wear a normal bra. I'm not interested in adhesive bras because I've had bad experiences with them.

So I'm now open to different necklines and colors as long as the dress has that same overall flattering, feminine, elegant feeling.

What I'm looking for:

  • Wedding guest appropriate
  • Midi or maxi
  • Short/cap sleeves preferred
  • Must work with a normal bra (32DDD)
  • Flattering and flowy rather than bodycon
  • Defined waist but not necessarily fitted through the hips
  • Under $100, preferably under $75

I'm 5'9" and typically wear around a size 12/L.

If anyone has dresses that come to mind, please send them my way! I'm getting desperate 😂
