This was a fun birthday trip! Being right on the equator, I had to be very liberal with the sunscreen and hydration. I did manage to get slightly sunburnt on my last day in Ecuador.
Shopping for basics should be easier. Well, it is not. If you have any kind of chest, it feels like the fashion industry only gives you two options:
I just want an ultra-stretchy, high-density knit that offers the structure of a professional blouse but the comfort of a soft base layer.
For context, the picture I attached is basically my surviving capsule right now (a pleated ponte brami, a ruched short-sleeve top, and a stretchy striped set). They are the only "soft-yet-structured" hybrids I've found where the fabric actually contours to my curves instead of hanging like a box.
The issue tho, as you can see, they are casual. I can't exactly wear a spaghetti strap brami or a striped lounge set to a corporate client meeting, and I'm tired of throwing an oversized blazer over everything just to hide my shoulders.
Where are you all finding tops with this kind of comfort, but cut like an actual professional work blouse? I want to be comfortable all day at work. Any brand that I should look into apart from the usual suspects like Uniqlo and Zara? Bonus point if they are also somewhat eco-friendly, though that is entirely optional. But comfort and shape, for sure.
I searched and couldn't find anything but I'm bad at Reddit so apologies if it's been asked. Anyway, I need biker shorts that will not roll up or down. I'm willing to spend $$ for good quality stuff because I'm tired of wasting my money on stuff that rolls up and lets my thighs rub. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Shoes and dress both thrifted from ThredUp! I love the asymmetrical neckline on this dress so much.
Blue scalloped shorts came from Belk. They were on sale for $20 and they are crown & ivy brand I think and the top came from a boutique I shop at.

I tried finding a post that called out this specific issue but couldn’t find one, so please forgive me if it’s repetitive!
I have a 36.5” waist and 46.5” hips, with a short torso and super long legs. I have the same problem as many of you with waist gapping but my bigger issue is 🐪 toe. PAINFUL, full-on crotch attack. I’ve resorted to wearing only bike shorts but I can’t wear those everywhere, and I honestly prefer structured pieces—but not if they hurt me.
I thought I found the perfect solution with Levi’s cinching shorts, but alas, I did not thoroughly test the sitting comfort in the fitting room and I now have another pair of shorts I can’t return. 😩
Does anyone else have this problem? Recommendations? Your girl is tired of double-wedgies and pain.

i am 5'3 with actual curves and i am so tired of this. waist gaps, thighs that won't fit, lengths that are still somehow too long even in petite sections. Every brand acts like petite just means short and straight up and down with zero hips involved. I need a jegging or denim legging that fits everywhere at the same time without having to size up and then drown in the waist. someone please just tell me where you're shopping because i've run out of ideas and patience simultaneously
