At least I think it’s my first time? Regardless - never thought I’d see Bermuda shorts make their way back into circulation 😂 but it has been 20ish years since I’ve seen or worn them in Junior High.

tl;dr do these look good on me? When it comes to skirts & shorts (by adjacent I think), I tend to lean towards shorter inseams. I assume that’s what looks better on me but I can’t fully explain why. But I’ve worn my fair share of basketball shorts in the past so that’s what these remind me of! Idk if they fit my figure though, size and inseam.

I think I’m on the smaller side of 14/16, possibly even 12/14 as 16 (at least by Target’s standards) is very roomy. Pics 4-5 show what I mean. I worry that 14 is a smidge too snug cause I have a muffin top & 16 is too big cause it slides off my hips with or without a belt really. I know muffin tops & belly shapes don’t change much no matter the amount of lifestyle changes you make usually, but I also wanna make sure it doesn’t look awkward on me.

Bonus mini denim skirt lol. Unrelated to this post but I liked it.

3 Weeks of Perfect Pilates complete!

I can confidently say that Darryl is my arch nemesis lol. I am too weak for his optimistic speed 🤧😩 I feel like this week was challenging. I can’t pinpoint why but I’m assuming factors from terrible sleep to finding out my mother has Dementia are a couple of the main things. It felt like I mostly finished just to get to the finish line, not cause I actually enjoyed it 100%. I did have fun going through it all though! I still have practice to do with my forms, but I can say I’m more flexible than I was say a month or 2 ago. I’m still stiff with some moves, but I’m sure some more practice will help me hold myself better. My fiancé stated that my posture has improved! I’m sure this wasn’t the only reason why - as I’ve been on a consistent fitness journey since 2024 - but I’m sure it’s helped! That means a lot to me as I’m both an artist & have a financial desk job, so I do my best to incorporate more movement into my routine.

Now that I’m done, I’m kinda unsure on what to do. I’ll continue doing Pilates! But I’m wondering if I should slowly reintroduce strength training back into my weekly schedule. I’ve been doing Pilates workouts since late April, but this is the most consistent I’ve been with this program. I honestly might just restart it, but I also think I’ll mostly stick to Marimba 😅 her speed matches my speed better. I’m open to suggestions on where to go from here!

F/32/5’4” [269lbs > 187lbs = 82lbs] (2.5 years) Trying to find joy in the small things 🥀

Had my birthday & found out my mom was diagnosed with dementia pretty much in the same week, so I’m in a way. This is mostly to see if my diet changes have changed my skin for the better.

Left pic is from 2023. I don’t think I’m at my heaviest just yet, but I am stressed out, self employed, & unmedicated for my depression & anxiety. I’ve since changed my diet: cut out soda completely, more fruits, more water, & more sunscreen lol. Pic on the right is from a couple of weeks ago before my birthday.

Week 2 of 3 Weeks of Perfect Pilates completed 🫪😩

BRUTAL. Especially the last session. Darryl has me fighting for rights 💀 but I’m happy I completed week 2! It was both my birthday & wildly - my period weekend. I’m extremely bloated atm, stubbornly so, but the last 2 sessions had me drenched in sweat. Sadly the bloating hasn’t improved, but I’m still able to stretch! I added Pilates into my routine slowly back in April, but I think that combined with these longer videos has helped me feel more limber. At least I think so? I feel like I’m able to stretch a bit father in some positions. I also noticed that I’m recovering from aches a bit faster now. I was astonished that some strain I felt trying to ride my bike was gone the next day. For me that’s incredible since most of that pain was in a knee I’ve dislocated twice in youth. I was fully prepared for aches for a few days, but it disappeared so fast the next day that I forgot about it. I’m still in the phase of making mistakes or doubting myself on proper technique, but I still bring the best I can regardless of my goof ups.

Gonna give myself a couple of days before starting Week 3 🫠🥲

This weeks half haul

ADHD sucks cause I both forgot to get a couple of things (not listed cause I also forgot to add it lol) & I accidentally overpaid for the apples. I thought the entire bag was $1.99 😩 oops. Reading comprehension is important, friends.

UPDATE: I’m tempted to say the sweet tango apples I overpaid for might just be worth it cause they’re so crisp, juicy, & refreshing 😋✨
