Not too bad for 30 🤣
This dress from Lively Ghosts is amazing it's flowy, beautiful color, and the polka dots add such a cute texture. However, the deep V cut isn't something I typically wear and I'm feeling self-conscious about wearing it as is. I would say I'm a semi-advanced seamstress so I'm dabbling in the idea of making a modesty panel for the top. The issue being idk what I can add for coverage that won't take away from the dress. The other thought is maybe I just go with it? It's incredibly comfortable and the "girls" feel secure when I wear this and I know plenty of smaller chested folks who wear deep v necklines and no one bats an eye 🤷🏻♀️. Just for context I'd be wearing this for out shopping or to an event where there is no children.

Time and time again I am let down by Fabletics. Their plus sized model photos don't show the reality of being plus sized- for me it's a big apron belly and cellulite dimples. Their workout shorts and many of the leggings, even when they use terminology like "power lift", don't hold my lower belly in at all. It just hangs under wherever the waist starts on the pants. I've tried several brands and always get the same thin crap that shows my cellulite and underwear.
Anyway, what brands do you like that actually work for plus sized bodies?

I bought this active wear dress from Torrid yesterday and I’m a little obsessed, it’s so twirly and swishy. I got some new things and this is by far my favorite!! The second photo is the dress paired with a Torrid Nightfall lingerie top. It’s very ballet core 😁https://www.torrid.com/product/tru-performance-core-mesh-ruffle-2fer-active-dress/44661734-33321.html
Stopped posting for a while mostly wearing oversized comfi clothing. Nothing wrong with that, but I stopped celebrating my outfits and body somewhere along the line. Here is to regaining my confidence and starting anew! Nothing says confidence like a crop top!
Hey there everybody. Every active dress I try on fits me like this and I hate it. I love a more flared skirt for sure. Any recommendations?? Thank you!!
It's the end of my longer vacation and Sunday scaries are really kicking my butt. Thought a little coffee trip could help. At least it's a pretty butt they are kicking 💅
I bought this dress. I absolutely love it. But my issue is that the bra showing. I typically wear a 40h bra, I’m wearing a 38g strapless in the photo. My option for bras are limiting due to size. Any suggestions or ideas on how to make it not look so obvious that my bra is showing?
I'm a 26w at Anthropologie, which is where 99% of my wardrobe is from. I've moved into a job where I need more professional attire. (I was explicitly told that Anthro was too casual). I'm having a hard time finding formal business clothes in my size. I want to have some pieces custom made.
Does anyone have a go-to Etsy store for this? Or any recs for any business that does this? There's a local place that does 99% menswear but I'd like someone who is used to making women's clothes.
While we're at it, does anyone have a stylist they love?
Edit to make the bot happy: I'm in the southern US. I've basically been told to replace my whole wardrobe so I'd appreciate something closer to the $200/piece range than the $2000/piece range but I'm open.
Normally I’m in comfy clothes but I’ve been spending my days in my businesses/ business casual. So thankful for the advice I’ve received on this subreddit. I used to dread having to wear these types of clothes on special work days. Now I’m getting the hang of it🤞🏼
