I've only just got Minecraft on PC, after playing Bedrock on console for years, but hearing abiut the potential of Java, I took the leap and got it.

I'm taking it easy atm, and I wanted to install a Vanilla Tweaks datapack that enabled me to have coords and days spent on screen all the time (without the need to press f3 on and off).

I've followed the steps exactly and it won't work.

I' running the Moder - God of the Forest mod through Curseforge, as this is the game I want the coords on.

Any help or advice?

Whenever I go from windowed to full screen in Java Minecraft my gos goes from 240+ FPS to 60fps and I have my monitor set to 240hz so idk what’s going on.

So I recently got my hands onto a mod that can set Minecraft's tick speed to 20,000 which is insanely fast. I have a good PC IMO ( 13th gen i7, 32 gigs of ram, 12 gb NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti and a TON of storage since I record with a 4k monitor) but the issue arises that when I turn that game to an insanely fast tickspeed and make the chunks decently high (25 RD 18 SD) the game goes from insanely fast to just slightly faster than average. I've found that the lower my RD/SD the faster the game is. I use sodium and sodium extras as my only two performance optimization mods, but for this to run fast and for me to actually be able to claim I beat the game at 20k tick speed, what mods do you all recommend that enhances the games performance to the absolute maximum?

I’ve played Minecraft since I was a kid when it first came out I never had consoles or anything growing up, so I always played it on my phone growing up, I’m now 22 and got my first high end pc about a year ago and I was excited to play Java with shadders but soon realized I preferred bedrock because I’m used to the settings and stuff on bedrock. I’m just now discovering the endless possibilities that mods allow you to have while still keeping the game vanilla. Bedrock will never be superior than The customization through mods on Java. Things like better F3 mod, ambient sounds, fresh animations, and hundreds of more quality of life mods that tweak little things about the game plus things like mod menu to manage all your mods, plus performance and optimization mods to make your gameplay smooth even while running shaders and resource packs that turn certain blocks 3-D basically if there’s anything about Java that you don’t like there’s a mod to remove it or make it better without sacrificing the vanilla feel. I wish i had come to this revelation sooner! So now instead of being confined by Mojangs setting and tweaks, im completely free to personalize, and enhance my game play while having it run like butter🤯

I really like this game but unfortunately I am currently not financially capable to buy it. I have watched so many videos about it and I really want to play it but I can't spend my money on it. I am very interested in mc, especially bedwars and ice boat racing. Is there a way I can get it?

What's up with that? Are they trying to make Java seem bare bones or so controller players only stick with Bedrock if they don't wanna use mods? Hytale just implemented controller support. C'mon

I recently saw something about java edition adding a friends list and when i googled it apparently they are! Am i just hearing about this late or is this new information? because if there adding online play without having to make a server thats gonna be awesome

been playing the game for 6 years now, and I just noticed it says "advancement" for some advancements and "goal" for others in the chat - is it random or is there a logic to this?

I've currently got an old system running All the Mons mod pack with a 3900x and 32gb ddr4 ram nothing special in terms of software, just downloading server files and running through CMD. I'm constantly getting crashes and high TPS so I'm curious if it would be worth converting the current set up to Ubuntu and trying to optimize that way or if it would be more worth upgrading to something like a 7600X?
