True spear pvp-phase 3: dive boosting? (Can't find a better name)

Like allways, if someone did this before me, feel free to KINDLY (please) share with me. I remember someone saying how manepear did bow boosting from a wind charge, but I got no idea what or how that is done or where to find it.

Like the previous tech, this doesn't work in virtually any situation to mabye get away while healing (given that the arrow down kill you) or just moving more unpredictably.

But it really shines (imo) when combined with the spear.

I was going to hold back on posting this, mabye until a few days later, but u/Nullifyfy just said they're challenging other game modes, so I thought I'd do it now.

This may deter some players from ever adding it, or it could in fact make them want to add it even more. It might not change anything. But I hope this brings positive results not only to true spear, but the pvp community as a whole.

Weird damage dealt by enemy

So in this clip I shared, me and one of my friends ( the owner of the server) decided to do some pvp. It was a no potion no mace fight. I was winning at first but suddenly he does 7 heart (14 points) of damage in a single tick. How is this possible

u/dream06949 — 15 hours ago

Macing for 10 minutes (happy to take advice cuz ik im not tht good)

i used theobaldthebird's pvp map and i used easy on crystal mode so he can pop his totems. (do not mind the orbitals)

Some matchups :-

Current K1rbe vs. Prime Evantii (in crystal pvp)

Current Kylaz vs. Prime Vexaay (in sword pvp)

Current Elmerizz vs. Prime Khalihmortimer (in mace pvp)

Who do you think wins in each of these?

Honest question about MCPVP and Dawn Client: Why all the hate?

I saw the official announcement from MCPVP regarding their partnership with Dawn Client (formerly known as Feather). Looking at it from a technical and investment standpoint, this feels like a massive turning point for the scene. We are getting features like launcher-integrated matchmaking, a 25ms ping reduction, and tournaments with a $100,000 prize pool. On top of that, merging Mc Tiers and PvP Tiers is going to simplify everything for everyone.

Then I went on Reddit to see what people were saying, and I found only one post discussing it. But what did I see? Pure negativity in the comments. I honestly don't get why the community is reacting this way.
I've only been following the PvP scene for about a year, so please excuse me if I'm missing some context here. But looking at the actual facts right now, this is how I see it:

Feather had major issues in the past, but they are completely starting fresh under new management with the Dawn rebrand.

Dream, had his past drama with speedrunning, but as far as I know, he has never cheated in major events or actual PvP ranked matches. Plus, what does his YouTube past have to do with a competitive infrastructure?

DrDonut, doesn't seem to have any scandals.

My impression is that after the Dangermario scandal, we've all become way too paranoid. We used to tolerate a completely corrupt and manipulated system, and now we won't accept anything at all. We are attacking a massive upgrade for no real reason.

To be clear, I am not blindly defending Dream, DrDonut, or MCPVP. It’s completely fair to stay cautious and keep them in check. But so far, I don't see any legitimate reasons for the amount of hate in that Reddit thread.
So I'm asking you guys: Are there actual, concrete reasons to boycutt MCPVP and Dawn Client, or is the community just blinded by bitterness and post-Dangermario paranoia?

On which servers can I learn to get better in PvP? (Read description please)

So I'm playing Minecraft for a really long time and the only thing I'm good in it is building and just you know playing Minecraft, but | just SUCK at Minecraft PvP and that's why I'm asking where I could learn Minecraft pvp and get better. Please advice servers that could help me to get better please. I'm playing on the newest version currently but love playing versions like 1.18 or 1.20 and 1.12 (but I think it's just too old). So hopefully I will get some good advices and I'm thankful for every comment :)

flaming hot take, No fire texture packs are close to cheating.

I'm currently having a friend coach me on SMP. And a consistency we have found is that whoever has a no fire texture pack on will probably win or get a higher damage output. This seems like a huge advantage since without no fire you ban not see half the screen. With no fire you get rid of this problem. Consistently if one person had no fire and the other didn't, It would be different

If I (HT5 estimation) had no fire and he had no fire I deal around 4-6 hearts more damage consistently, From an average 10 HP on my friend to 6-4. (He is HT3-LT3ish), and if he has fire and I have no fire he either dies and I squeeze by with half a health point left or he wins and is a one tap at the end of the fight

Seems like an insane advantage to not be called "cheating" if my damage output can be severely boosted by no fire and my friend's gameplay severely nerfed without it, to the point where it can straight up turn a fight from floorwipe to small challenge, And from small challenge to extremely close fight consistently.

Why do so many people condone using clients like prestige client?

this guy( mcSam00) keeps adverising prestige client, and I check the comments to see how many people are calling him out for it, and there are never as many as I expected, most are ”thanks, I’ll go download this mod“, or “i cant find it on midrinth“ most players are ignoring the fact that this is cheating,

and as proof I’ve noticed that minemen has way more cheaters than it used to, it seems like after Marloww got expose, people started to not care as much.

How is this not boring?

I have started pvping since around 3 months and I find it boring and annoying how long fights last.

  1. Healing items like gaps are in massive quantities.
  2. Thanks to enderpearls and Elytra it's easy for one to get away when on low health.

What do you do to not get bored?

Edit: I meant pvping on a dueling server with kits, I love pvp minigames and pvping on small SMPs, infact I'm making a Minigame currently, as they don't feel like literal trench warfare.

I'm typing this on a very gamer keyboard, not made for typing, so excuse the amount of typos that I know are about to poof into existence...

All right, this post is for everyone, boy, girl, nb or other, I appreciate all your answers!

Lately, I've been getting recommended a couple videos on the subject of gender disparity in the Minecraft content creation scene, noting that around 90% of creators are male, and that it's non-representative of the actual Minecraft player base. The problem is that it's really hard to track, even though mojang/microsoft does collect this data, it's not public, therefore we must turn to other sources, but these are sometimes biased, the best we have is amount of Minecraft.net visitors, but this is obviously not all players. other sources are polls on websites like twitter or reddit, but the problem is that girls are more likely to visit those websites, do the demographic is still off, nevertheless, from here stats we can conclude that around 40% of Minecraft players are female, around 2% is nb and 1% falls under "other." which matches up with the steam data stating around 40% of gamers are girls (ofc there's gonna be guys putting a fake gender but that goes both ways, so let's just consider it accurate enough)

Besides this rudimentary data, the stories we hear from successful female content creators are pretty terrifying, making fun of their voice, bullying like "pvp isn't for girls" "girls can't play games" etc, or just straight up sexual harassment are also a problem,. and I think its a bigger one, but they're related. There was this study (I highly forgot who did that and idk how accurate it is) saying that a minority is considered "normal" when it reaches around 30% of the population, which sounds pretty accurate (ex: you're in a meeting and there's 10 guys and 1 woman, she's an odd one out, but as soon as you reach 3-4 women, it feels more equal/normal. So the solution seems pretty clear: more girls should make content, in spite of all the harassment, but is this true?

Another point I see being made by both women and men is that girls are just naturally less interested in pvp, thus the gap, or less interested in creating content, which is why less of them do it, however while I could believe the first part (obviously that doesn't apply to everyone, maybe it's a stereotype) I have trouble believing the second part, as other games are able to collect a more sizable female creator space, and content creation is a topic people of any gender can express an interest towards, even if it may be a bit more sketchy for girls and it has it's own problems, the demographic is more equal. What I'm trying to get at is that there's something wrong with the space, something that's either preventing girls and other from entering the space or from growing their channels, or both. We can confirm this in the comments of the videos explaining the matter, many people either getting inspired by these videos or sharing their similar story. here are the main two videos at the moment:

https://youtu.be/vZuiDteERsg?si=UURqixJlziuqH8jk

https://youtu.be/tqk_r0WTwJ4?si=abRdPzIxkSfSPh0w

However, since we're literally looking at a video that gathers all the people that experienced something like this in one place, the comments might not be the most unbiased place, so I'm looking to collect some more data, to make my own video (full transparency I'm 16M and wanna bring some more light onto this issue, but I know that I'm also partially responsible for this problem, porting mostly guys in my videos, partly because I don't have that many non-male friends to play with but nevertheless, I wanna help, and if you think its out of place for me to be making this type of content, I would love to hear your recommendations of how I could help a different way, maybe even this post is enough for a girl or someone more qualified than me to make a good video, since the last similar post to this topic was posted around 12y ago lol)

Regarding the Marlowww situation (if you don't know, she was the best piper in Minecraft and owner of the testing system, but she got exposed and is mostly regarded as a cheater now, and even accused of actually being a dude, dangermario (notorious hacker) with a voice changer) was she actually your idol ( if you're a girl enjoying pvp ) like many p[eople are saying, or do you genuinely don't care? how do you think this affects the community? I heard someone say that she was actually not as influential as people make it out to be, hence the question. plus, in the expose videos it's said that he acted as a girl to get more traction on YouTube, but as stated beforehand, this doesn't work... maybe just a way of standing out?

TL;DR:

Girls are unrepresented in the YouTube creator space.

As a minority, what is your experience on the mines raft YouTube space, do you make content or wanted to? are you mostly a lurker? do you enjoy pvp? how do you see a way out of this situation? do you reckon it's not that bad? What's your opinion on the situation basically...

If you are a large content creator, of any gender, would you be willing to share some stats of your YouTube channel? maybe run a poll? dm me here or on discord (itscookieking)

if you have interesting experiences and are willing to maybe do an interview for my video, also dm me
